I love my new doorbell chime. I was so enthused and excited when I was listening to the variety of tunes in the store. Hardly anyone on my street has one like this and it made me feel so special to but myself one. I felt like a kid in a toy store. I could hardly wait to get it installed. The style is pretty and the price was right.

Mine works. Wired installation. Add diode to button and replace chime. No need to replace transformer. Easy to install. Hope it last. I would prefer smaller cover.

These Heath Zenith doorbells are garbage. Oh, they'll work for a while, but it won't last long. Mine worked for less than a year... then my two tone front chime became one tone. This was after having on several occasions to search the floor to track down and re-place the plastic piston head that kept falling out of it's hole in the metal piston. After fixing that, the transformer slowly failed to where it wasn't strong enough to ring both chimes. The products are junk but Heath Zenith makes up for it by not providing support. Automated email with no follow up when you respond for more help... even though they invite you to respond and ask for more help. Funny thing is... they tell you in their automated email that if your doorbell starts chiming on one chime only, your under-powered transformer is failing. Then they invite you to buy a more powerful one!! Lucky me! Thank goodness Heath Zenith is watching over their under-powered transformers. One last thing. I knew when I un-boxed this piece of junk that I should have returned it. The sheet metal 'hook' to hold the cover on the housing is barely thicker than a piece of aluminum foil. Good grief. Should have taken it back right then and there.

This is probably the worst experience that I have had with a product. The only time that it works is when you first put the cover on. After a couple of days, the cover comes loose somehow and all you hear then is "Install cover." I have tried to re-seat the cover, but it doesn't work. Now after two years, it doesn't work at all. Steer clear of this doorbell at all costs. Or, just flush $50 down the toilet. It will be a lot faster.

I wanted an indiscreet vertical but stylish doorbell that could also be painted to blend into the wall. And it came with a bonus; numerous doorbell music sounds, even some for Christmas time and one for birthdays!!!

Easy to install. I've never installed a door chime but it was easy. The sound is a little muffled because it is so loud and the speaker can't handle the volume of noise. Otherwise very cute chimes. My kids love them. Easy to switch tunes.

My contractor bought this, he sprayed it brown to go with my decor so I could not return it, & I tried working with Heath Zenith. They said basically they couldn't help me. This unit is not strong enough to go more than 20ft if it has to signal through the outside wall and one inside wall. I would suggest looking further in to it and maybe another brand?????? It is nice looking though and when it's sprayed brown (I have paneling) it looks terrific!

This Doorbell works with a remote control push button or it can be hard wired into an existing system. It requires batterys for remote operation. I was amazed at the choice of bell tones that were preprogramed into the device. It was easy to install with 2 screws and was operational in no time. It looks nice hanging in the hall and for the price it cannot be beat. The kids in the daycare like it when we change the tones to a happy birthday when one of them has a birthday, or for holidays you can set it to play a holiday song. It is great.

Like a lot of home today, my home has a hardware front door bell, but nothing on the back. I purchased this to add a wireless to the back. If you use this with both wired and wirless you can not set one to be different than the other. Front door chimes the same as the back door so you still wind up guessing which one to go to. The Wireless should be selectable, and may be on some models but not this one. Probably why most of the ones at my local HomeDepo are returned.

This thing plays "install cover" half the time. Fiddling with the cover makes it works some of the time, but the little button that the cover needs to press when installed is far to sensitive - so it's back to playing "install cover". Really poor engineering.

Very easy to install and works great. Loud enough for elderly to hear from every room.

Installed it about 20 feet from door with heath/zenith wireless switch. Wouldn't work. Moved it to another wall 10 feet away and tested it while holding and someone pressed button. Worked. Hung it on wall - announces "install door" even though it's assembled properly (same way as when I was holding it in hand). I no longer have packaging in order to return it so I'm taking it to the target range.

After having a lighning-damaged chime module on our intercom and numerous issues with a same-maker door chime that was supposed to interface, I got this unit as a "stand alone" chime. Installation was simple except for having to make an adapter plate to cover the in-the-wall door chime. We use the "front" chime for our driveway gate and it is triggered by a relay so I had to jumper the relay output with the diode. Neither of these would have been a problem in a "normal" installation. However, I did encounter one problem that others may have. The cover, installed properly, still did not close the interlock micro switch so I had to shim it with two layers of card stock. The chime tunes are OK though you won't mistake them for real brass bells or chimes. But this is, after all, a doorbell, not an MP3 player!

I installed this for my better half to replace a failed one in her house. I used a wireless button on the outside but was able to make the interior unit work with an AC transformer by putting the supplied diode in series (inside the unit) with one line from the transformer. This is essentially what you have to do if you use a wired push button. The instructions imply you have to use batteries in the interior unit if you only use wireless push buttons. NOT TRUE. Works fine if you put the diode in series with one side of the 16VAC transformer. One transformer wire goes to transformer screw, the other I used the front door screw. I put the diode in series with the Front Door Screw wire. Works like a charm and no "D" batteries to change in the interior unit. THe sound is very nice with various selections.

We purchased this doorbell, to replace our existing doorbell in our brand new home, as the existing doorbell was hard to hear. Installation was easy and quick. I believe this doorbell would have worked well, if we weren't having issues with our existing transformer. Unfortunately, we have decided to return the doorbell, until we can afford to hire someone to replace our existing transformer.
