Maybe you get what you pay for but I've known several people to buy similar units with much better results. Maybe I got a dud, but I'm planning to return it tomorrow. Two of the legs had snapped braces when I got it, though it seemed to go together fine. I turned it on, just the power, and it started making a rhythmic thumping noise about every five seconds or so... Not what I want in a nice quiet bedroom. Heater seemed fine and was not noisy but the thumping noise means it has got to go.

Beth light and the flames look so real. It has three settings.

The legs did not fit the knotches provided when putting it together. Since I wanted to try it out, I propped it up against a doorway and turned it on. The high setting did not work! I returned the stove to Home Depot with full disclosure that this product was inferior.

I didn't want to spend a lot of money since these electric fireplaces only last a couple of years in my experience. The price was right. When I took the unit out of the box I noticed that the clip that held the glass front was broken so the glass will not reattach. It is noisy. I think the intent was to simulate a crackling fire ... I could do without this as it is annoying to listen to. It does an ok job of heating a small room 100-150 sq ft tops. I use it to add a little extra heat in my bedroom an hour or so before I go to bed. I would not buy this unit again.

This product is great for the price, the flames are realistic looking, all it needs is the snap, crackle of wood burning! Runs very quietly and heats up my small living room quickly.

Received this item in a timely fashion, however glass was just loose inside of the stove. The door doesnt open at all, so no way to fix. Also was smaller that pictured. Returned to home depot, bought a hampton bay electric stove that is far more attractive and was only $69.00

Awesome little heater! Better than expected-quite, heats a room in minutes, and the "fireplace" flames looks real! Like so much, just purchased another one for another room.
