Not only is this a very funcional ktchen island, but is also of great quality and beutifully designed. The wood quality and the nice details make it a nice addition to any kitchen. I greatly recomend it.

Horrible. Worth maybe $200 at best. Putting this together was amazing. Just bad. I have never had issues putting together furniture. Stay away.

Not as easy to assemble as it looks.

If any of you hate Ikea put-together products, don't attempt this product. As much as I hate Ikea, this company could use some pointers from them as this is the most ridiculous thing to put together. Nothing is properly marked, you have to stare at the picture and re-read it 100 times to try and figure out which part they are referring to, they have mistakes/miss-listing items on the directions (who proof read their directions), and 1000 pieces to put together. They could easily reduce the amount of different pieces by minimally doing some of the work instead of just throwing it all in a box and saying....have at it. Then when it's all put together, it looks absolutely cheap and worthless......If I could rate this a -10, I would. BTW, I seldom ever leave reviews for anything so obviously this item is really BAD.

Great Kitchen cart!! Went together pretty easy. Looks great and is just what we needed for a little extra counter and storage space.

I did a LOT of research before I bought this piece. The reviews on this site and others bring up the difficulty of assembly and I agree that better packaging and labeling of the smaller bits of hardware would be hugely beneficial. However, with basic organization at the beginning I was able to assemble the piece almost entirely by myself in 4 hours. And let me tell you, it was worth every single bit of the time it took to put together. The craftsmanship of this island is beautiful! There's MDF in the back, sides, and shelves, but with the quality of the veneer used and the way the solid wood pieces are fitted around them, I don't doubt the durability at all. The butcher block is just as pictured and the drop leaf has two slides so weight will be evenly distributed for years of use. Overall I think this is a great value and I'd definitely recommend it.

Overall product is very well put to-gather. Quality hardwood with all needed fixtures. Advertised dimensions were accurate. Plans for assembly were complete with several views to help orient parts to the whole. Patience is needed to make assembly easier. Important to read directions through before assembly. Final product is just what my wife and I were looking for our kitchen area. We are totally pleased with this Kitchen Island!

The instruction were interesting to decipher - like a jigsaw puzzle. There was one part missing from the package & the corner on one of the wooden pieces was broken off. However, when we contacted the manufacturer they replaced all in just a couple of days. The materials for this cart are pretty much solid wood. It is very sturdy and it looks great. We would definitely recommend this piece of furniture.

Took a bit of work to put together. It took 3 1/2 hours! As long as you follow the directions, it looks like a very expensive piece.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Construction was a bit difficult for one person, took me 5-6 hours (but I also oiled each piece before assembling), and the instructions were a bit confusing at times especially with the added "replacement" parts. However, I'm happy with the final product and it is functioning exactly how I imagined. I hides in the corner when not in use (providing extra storage), but easily wheels to where I need it in the kitchen.

I strongly suggest you have 2 people to assemble this product. I love the finished cart, but it took several hours to put it together, and we are both handy with tools and putting together unfinished furniture. It performs wonderfully, and had all the storage space I needed.

I am enjoying this island. I was out of town when it arrived, however my two adult daughters put it together for me. It did take them 6 hours of good team work and I owe them, but it looks great. I did need to sand the top and oil it though for use.

We've had this for a year now and think it's great. It's well-crafted of quality materials, very solid and it looks great. We got it when we were renting. Now we're in a new house with hardwood floors and kitchen cabinets and the "Heart-Of-The-Kitchen Island" fits right in to our big new kitchen. I enjoyed assembling the product when it arrived; I think it took about an hour, and I was very satisfied afterward. I highly recommend it to anybody. It's great value for money and it's even made in New York!

We just put ours together last night... it was a lot work, but as the other person said, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The craftsmanship is great, I am very pleased at how nice it looks in our kitchen. Don't forget to buy mineral oil to treat it with, we forgot and have to wait until we get some before we use it. Overall a great product!

I am renting and needed a small kitchen island adaptable to other kitchens. I also needed a small counter that I could use as a snack bar. I spent a good deal of time shopping online and at various stores, comparing what was available. This looked exactly like the thing I needed, but I was pretty nervous about not being able to see and touch the completed product. When I received the item in a rather flat box, I was even more nervous about my ability to put it all together. Not to worry! I followed the directions to the letter, and they were easy to follow. All of the pieces were there, and the quality was excellent. The finished product looks great.
