Plastic is hard and slippery. Not really my idea...
Plastic is hard and slippery. Not really my idea of a quality product. Fine for carpets I suppose. A smaller footprint, say a 3" would be better suited for a carpeted floor. And a softer stickier plastic would simply be a better material for this product.

The reason for the low rating is the information provided in the specifications is misleading. The stated height is 2 inches. The description also states that the wedge should work for a door clearance of 1 1/2 inches. The actual height is 1 9/16 to 1 5/8 inches. In my application, I have a door clearance of 1 1/2 inches. The problem is that the wedge also is not very stiff so it flexes when wedged under the door. The combination of flexing and abbreviated height makes the wedge perform less than desired or anticipated with this door clearance.

Great product - holds the door open securely. Only one...
Great product - holds the door open securely. Only one I’ve found that will work on a door that is higher off the floor than normal.
