[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I built this shed for my grandpa. He absolutely loves it, and I think it looks good too. As the customer, I would rate it 5 stars. Good looking, sturdy shed. As the installer, I'd rate it 3.5 stars. There was no board longer than 8' in the kit, so to make 12 foot walls you have to do splicing. Which I mean, whatever...but I hate unnecessary splices when you could just have a 12 foot board. Also you could throw all the nails they provide right in the trash, as they won't help one bit. Also for the 12x12 shed you need 7 bundles of shingles, not the 6 it says. And get the 3 tabs so that you can make ridge cap. Otherwise all said and done, it looks nice and was a good deal.

Delivery was contracted through a "BETTER HOMES" company. ETA was late and did not come equiped to unload the 2 huge pallets from the truck. Had to unload piece by piece(all 2600 lbs) by myself. All lumber came pre cut; most straight but a good bit were bowed and/or nicked. A few 5ft pieces were tongue and grooved together to achieve the 5 ft lengths( not ideal at all). A couple flaws in the design such as the rafters being two 5ft 2x4's joined together by sandwiched between 2 pieces of 1/2" OSB board. (Big NO). The floor kit consists of a 12' long structure plus a 4' addition(all 2x4 floor joists) and the floor was all OSB boards. (4x8 and 4x4 boards). Not impressed with the design or materials used. All single piece hardware included. No shingles. No caulking. Pieces not clearly stensiled but no biggie.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am replacing a tree damaged shed and so far it has been great to put together I am enjoying this task

All materials arrived pre-cut and ready to go. Measurements were fairly precise, so no problems there. Materials arrived on two very large pallets that were offloaded on my driveway, so had to break them down and carry everything to the site. Shed construction went fairly smoothly. Plan on pounding in over 1000 nails! (Over 1300 for the 12'x16" I purchased.) Assembly instructions are somewhat lacking though and rely mainly on pictures. They could have used more words to explain some of the tricky or not exactly intuitive steps of the assembly process. I am glad my friend was an experienced roofer, because based on the instructions provided I don't think I would have done as good a job of putting on the roof and shingling the shed without him. I did not receive all the correct hardware with my shed kit, (received way too many 2" nails and no 1 1/2" nails, and you can't substitute the 2" for the 1 1/2") and had to go out and purchase them rather than wait another week to 10 days for the company to send me the missing nails. However, the company has offered to reimburse me for the nails I purchased so I'm okay with that. It took me and another guy four days (working 4-5 hours each day) to complete assembly of the shed. Used following tools to assemble the shed: 2 x 18v drills, 2 x hammers, chalk line, rafter square, 2 x 16' tape measures, 8' step ladder, 16' extension ladder, staple gun, jigsaw, caulk gun & 2 tubes of exterior caulk, and several types of levels. Also had to level my site with a Bobcat and some shovel work prior to assembling the floor kit. Overall I am very pleased with this shed and think it was certainly worth the money I paid.

The original issue was our first shipment was damaged and a new one had to be sent. Each one taking 4+ weeks, which made it the dead of winter by the time the final one came. When we did put it up, the majority of the boards were bowed, twisted or glued together. The nails were poor quality and not enough of them and the gables were missing a groove that was suppose to be there. Just expected it to be a better quality.

If you are looking for a shed - this is the one. The best feature is the 11ft ceiling height. Most sheds will offer maybe 8ft if you are lucky - will the 11ft ceiling on this one you are able to stack higher and depending on your local code plenty of room for a loft if you want. As with any kit - it is not a one day project to put together (especially if you have a couple of men helping!) But certainly worth the effort.
