BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!! Online and in the store display, "maple durham" flooring is as it appeared in the past. Based on the display and knowing the product well (I have it in two rooms in my home), I purchased enough to go in another room and pulled up the carpet. Unfortunately for me and other consumers, what is now being sold as "maple durham" is packaged as "birch durham." The flooring we received is very, very different from what is displayed in the store and online. It's not even the same width! Basically, the manufacturer has discontinued the REAL (original) maple durham and replaced it with a downgraded product with knots bigger than a quarter filled in with in putty. Some boards have five and six filler knots. I would not put this trash in a barn for horses to live on. Needless to say, this is an unpleasant experience that has taken several hours of our time with calls and visits to Home Depot trying to understand. HOME DEPOT NEEDS TO UPDATE THE WEBSITE AND THEIR DISPLAYS!!!! THIS IS MISLEADING!!!!! IT IS BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!

I didn't expect these 12 cases to match perfectly with the maple durham I had installed five years ago in the kitchen and dining rooms; but I expected the colors to be more consistent within the shipment. A whole case was unusable; either almost blond or walnut.

Purchased this to replace water damaged wood in my kitchen. Original "Maple Durham" wood floors purchased from HD were only installed 3-1/2 years ago but the replacement wood was a poor match - much more color variation and lots of dark knots (original had extremely few). Was disappointed to say the least!!!!!

The product is very expensive. Other than price it was a good product.

We installed this in our mountain house. Very easy to work with and it looks absolutely beautiful. Contrasted our dark cabinets and trim very nicely. The handscraped surface really is a nice touch and the variations in the veneer made it fun to mix up the boxes for a nice random looks. We even found a coupe of highly unique colors and textures to use as highlight boards in our more visible locations. I nailed it with 2" cleats over tongue and grooved OSB. It is a softwood, so it will be prone to scratching, so use pads under furniture. Nice thing about handscraped finish is that ti hides most scratches - just another part of the texture.

I wish I could have seen a sample of this before buying. I am not sure how long the paper thin maple wood layer will last

This floor is very nice, the picture on the web site does not show how beautiful this floor is. if your looking for a floor that looks like its always been in your house this is the floor for for you. The hand scraping is perfect, you fnd diffrent marks all throw out the floor. It does not look repetetive at all. I am very pleased with this purchase. We lay down 200sq in 8 hrs. very easy to in stall.
