This is a nice looking umbrella, but it blew over in a brief gust and the hinge mechanism broke and appears unrepairable. We have had this product for 1 month. My previous umbrella support last 20 years in the same environment

This 10ft umbrella covers our table and chairs perfectly. It cranks easily and we like the tilt option.

This was a Mother's day gift and she loved it. The built in feature is a plus, just keep winding it up and then it tilts. The description says sky blue but its a more of deeper blue just shy of being navy. Its coverage is great, we have have a rectangular table that seats 6 people. For the price we love it!

Purchased at Home Depot 5/3/2020 and set it up (I had a patio table with an umbrella hole and a base to hold the pole already) the next day. The sun was bright and directly overhead- in Florida. I felt it was perfect. It greatly reduced the heat compared to moving outside the umbrella into direct sunlight. I looked for the tilting mechanism, did not see it. There was no information how to manipulate it in the informational tag. I would have rated this product perfectly, but can't due to it not readily informing the consumer how to tilt it (e.g.- in the instructions or providing a wed site, without needing to load a special app.)

This umbrella failed in less than two months. We’ve taken proper care not to leave it up during high winds or storms. The weather has been beautiful in North Texas this spring so we spent a lot of time outside. The umbrella is beautiful chili red but the pros stop there. A light breeze caused metal fatigue on the tilt joint and a piece of metal broke off and fell on table while we were eating dinner. Not sure if Home Depot will take it back beyond the initial 30 days but spend your money on a better product.

Literally a little breeze came and this thing bent like a tooth pick. Sad because its a beautiful umbrella. Will be returning immediately!!!

We've had this umbrella for five years now and its worked great. We only set it up when we need it, it doesnt sit out in storm or rain or elements so it took awhile to fade. The red is a nice pop on the deck. Opens and closes easily. Does not come with a base weight.

Looks great..Opens and closes very easily with the crank mechanism. Only drawback is that the tilt feature isn't adjustable; it's all or nothing. When in the tilt position, it blows over easily in the breeze, even though I have it attached to a 50 pound base.

This is a beautiful quality product and our second umbrella. We love how it fits over the entire table and can be turned around for better coverage. While it can stand a little wind and rain, get in the habit of putting it down when you aren't using it. Also, if a storm comes up, take it down and dismantle it completely. It's not heavy, and we lost one that way.

I love it! I love the color, I love how big it is and that it tilts yet it's light enough for me to move by myself.

I drilled a 11/2" hole in the top part of the deck and used a 1 1/2x 4" long nipple, 1 1/2 coupling, 1 1/2" chase nipple 1 1/2"x1" reducer washer inside the coupling for the stop and 2 - 1 1/2" zinc coated pipe straps. I Had to drill a 1/4" hole through the coupling to hold the umbrella from turning when the wind blows and installed a clevis pin. Works great.

The umbrella just added the final touch to making a cozy and colorful patio in my home. I chose the chili red umbrella because of the ease of opening it. Also, the rectangular shape matched the exact space in the patio. I love my little retreat for a peaceful and relaxing time after a hard day at work.

Love the umbrella. It’s very sturdy and shades my entire patio. Beautiful color, too. Easy to adjust. A good investment for my outdoor living room.

Provides good shade coverage. Easy to crank up and down. The tilt action works very well. Only Con is because its so big that the least little wind moves the umbrella crooked while in the table in a stand.

Extra wide, tilting umbrella. Easy to assemble, but be warned, the base is 110 lbs/50kgs. The base has wheels which makes this umbrella easier to position than most. Raises, tilts and rotates easily with wide coverage. While furled, this umbrella withstood 40 mph wind gusts without difficulty.

We've had this umbrella up for a month now and it's great. The rectangular shape is great and covers our deck seating more fully than our round umbrella does. It can be easily opened and closed. With just a push of a button, the tilt feature is also easy to use. Given the height and the size, keep in mind that it does require a nice sturdy, heavy base. The one downside, as others have mentioned, is it does not have an attached tie to bind it when the umbrella is closed. This is the case for all Hampton Bay umbrellas I've seen, so we knew ahead of time to get a small bungee cord to go with it. With the bungee cord, we've had no issues with it blowing open, even in very high winds. I recall one review stating that it doesn't have the Sunbrella tag on it, so it must not be Sunbrella fabric. While I can attest to there being no Sunbrella tag on it (like there are on all of the sunbrella cushion covers I own), the Cilantro coloring is an exact match for my cushion covers (complete with the hints of white/light grey tightly woven in with the green). So I find it very hard to believe that the covering is not also made by Sunbrella.

Just what I needed to provide shade for my young grandchildren when they play on the pool steps. Very easy to put up and down.
