I have purchased these knotty pine doors before. Because they are difficult to find, I am left with one supplier option from Home Depot. The special order desk talent has much need to be trained in service and knowledge with their vendors. The on-line ordering option is handy and convenient. As for this product, it is as expected with the through description. The disappointment is in receiving the doors. I chose store delivery to save direct delivery fees on a multi door order. The doors were not protected in any way. They were pricey and one would appreciate care and concerns through out the purchase ensuring a delivery in great condition. There were many dents and gouges from rough handling by the manufacture and/or store personnel. The order was ready in 2 weeks so I did not have the luxury of time to re-order replacements so I worked with what I had. The doors have veneers over solid cores. That is needed for stability. I appreciate that design but the veneer is quite thin. There was barely enough veneer to sand through the gouges as to not machine through to the core. Over-all the doors are made well. The factory finish is worthy of a quick fine sanding for the coating. The handling was the most disappointing part of the product.

This V Groove Knotty Pine door does have large stiles and rails and those grooves are deep and pronounced and providing a great rustic look. The 4 9/16" door frame is clear pine (no knots). The hinges that come w/ door are brushed nickle finish but I'll need to change them myself to patina for my application. BTW- My entry door is a Feather River Door also from Home Depot.

Over the last 18 months, we've purchased 8 of these doors in various widths and swings to replace the ugly flush panel doors in our house. The doors are well made from solids and veneers. I gave them a clear finish of Minwax Poly-Crylic water based poly which I sprayed on with an HVLP sprayer, even though this is not recommended. They turned out beautifully. The doors are well and accurately machined and fit standard door hardware perfectly, requiring no tune up with a chisel at all. If I was forced to complain about anything, I'd only ask that the hinge mounting screws could be slightly longer. By the time I removed and replaced the hinges for finishing, some of the screw holes were close to striping out, and longer screws on both the jam and door leaves would have been nice. Still, attractive doors, well made, and sold at a very attractive price.

This is a good solid door. They look great stained and finished with a few coats of poly. Cost with shipping was average. Cost would be better if you could find it in local store. Door was shipped vertical on a pallet. Packing was good, door came with no damage.

The 24 in. Knotty Pine 2-Panel Arch Top V-Grooved Left-Hand Prehung Door was made of a beautiful hardwood specie with pale brown hue and occasional reddish brown streaks. Very solid wood. Excellent door.
