I can't give a higher rating until I can use it more. However, compared to the cheaper roller stands that I left on the curb, this one doesn't seem to slip. I did have the impression that you could raise and lower the roller using the lever, but that just tightens it when you have it manually in place. I was afraid that it would be too heavy but it seems to be about right. Any lighter and it would move around too much.
