I was very happy with my open box purchase. The flashlight was packaged as new and was guaranteed as new. I have never been disappointed with my purchases fro Coast.

This HP3 was a warranty replacement for my HP2 that finally stopped working. I really liked the small size and single AAA battery of the HP2, but it was discontinued. The HP3 seems to work OK, but it's too long for my use. Doesn't really fit in my shirt pocket, but it seems to work as designed. My wife finds it hard to push the on button with her fingernails. For the price, I would have preferred a different substitute flashlight for the HP2.

I'm now in the market for a new penlight. I picked up the HP3 back in 2018 and it finally died this week. I suppose 4 years isn't too terrible, given the budget price. Over time, I had to smack the light a bit to get it to turn on. Other than this one issue, it worked perfectly for my needs! Compact and easy to press pushbutton.

My HP3 goes wherever I go. I use it 10-20 times every day.

Nice little flashlight and the adjustable shape is cool. However, I got this as a replacement for 2 other flashlights that died within a few weeks of use, and then this one didn't work properly right out of the box. Although it does light up I have to push the button just so or it only lights up partially and gives a dim useless light. I've heard good things about Coast products and the customer service team did a great job handling my concerns but my next flashlight purchase will be from a different company.

All you need in a pen light. A little long for a every carry, really good for work/search light. Bright enough for many uses. The focus is good and it built like a rock

Not what I thought it was

the hp3 doesn't work right all the time. Sometimes when you turn it on the light is very dim

Light works great , has flood and beam adjustments and is way brighter then I expected. Batteries don't last as long as I expected them too but the light performs great and will fit right in your work shirt front pocket.

Great small LED flashlight. Like the ability to adjust the beam focus.

A little flashlight like this is good to keep on your possession at all times. I have one clipped on my t-shirt 24/7. The only time I don't have this light on me is when I'm taking a shower. Although the darn thing's probably waterproof. That's why I just bought 3 more because I don't want to chance losing mine and being without.

Great little flashlight. Batteries last super long time. It fits good in your shirt pocket. I love the focus beam. I have worked in the A/C repair business for over 26 years and have always used Coast lights; Coast lights have never let me down. If you want a bright, long lasting light Coast is the way to go.

After I use it for about 10 minutes the light goes out and will not come on

So far so good I like Coast lights and so far over the two weeks I’ve had it I use everyday. I normally wear a flashlight on my belt with this slim ligh I use my pants pocket. The bright adjustable beam gets Two thumbs up.

The deal on these lights just can't be beat! Love the design & the uses will be unlimited. Great for searching in those hidden corners & under furniture. And I'm sure there will come to be many occasions to be utilized! Also gave one as a gift & they love it as well. I will be purchasing this or other items from Coast in the near future.

This pocket flashlight was a pleasant surprise. Easy to operate -bright - light and easy to carry in shirt pocket. Reasonably long battery life. Great for inspections especially when working on computer wiring.

Have used this light a lot in the last 2 weeks. We have had some problems with the back of our property. Small, light and powerful. Worth every penny.

Very small and bright. When working on cars or hunting it does its job.

I’ve had my HP3 for a while. The other day my wife handed it to me and said she got it out of the dryer. I said “well, that’s toast”. I pushed the on button and it lit up like new. I couldn’t believe it went through the washer and dryer cycles and still worked perfectly. Unbelievable! My “tactical pen”? Not so much. I still haven’t found all the pieces.

This is a great light but burns through batteries. I really wish I got the rechargable version.

Super bright flashlight. Handy and light. About the size of a pen. Wouldn’t go anywhere without it. The lifetime guarantee is fantastic. Got a new flashlight after mine lasted for over five years in a matter of a couple of emails and fours days the new flashlight was in my mailbox.

They all loved how it was small and lightweight but had the right amount of lumens for the tasks they handle. Being able to adjust the focus for using it as a spot or flood light was excellent. I would recommend everyone own one of these and keep it in your vehicle, camper, garage, night stand or anywhere you have a light source that could go out. This pen light packs a punch and is so versatile. Very highly recommend!

I was especially excited about this one since it’s pretty portable and packs a decent brightness. I’m using it in my disc golf bag for night disc. Pretty simple setup, clip on the pen to keep on you and two clicks to operate. 1 for the highest setting then two for a lower level brightness.
