This dining set is well constructed and sturdy. It was not difficult to put together. We like the coloring (though, as others have said, it's different from the pictures). What is wrong is the customer service from Home Styles Furniture. There was a small dent in the table top, and when I sent a picture in, they said it was from shipping damage (hard to believe, see photo) and that we should return the entire item to Home Depot for exchange (of course, this was AFTER we'd put it all together). I told them I didn't think that came from shipping, so they agreed to send a replacement part ... and this one came even MORE damaged than the first one. Seems like they maybe need to change their packing practices to avoid this. We decided we'd live with the dent.

We loved the table and chairs. They were well packed and the directions were excellent--clear and easy to follow. It took about 20 minutes to put together the table (tools were included and all screws etc. were in the package along with extras just in case). The first chair took about 7 minutes and it got faster and easier with each one. The leaf which we plan to leave in had some gouges and scratched. I called the company and they sent a replacement immediately. The color is a bit redder than oak usually is, but it is a pretty color and looks good in our dining area.

craftsmanship is very poor, they had to send us 3 parts of the table. the last shipment we finally received a good pie e, but the fable jz not kevel . do not purchase this table.

very easy set up and very sturdy table. goes perfectly in my dining room and if needed it comes with a leaf to extend.

PRO: 1. Solid wood. 2. Easy assembly. 3. Did not have to put in the back of my car, was delivered. 4. Chairs do not creek or crack so far. CON: 1. Little expensive for what it is. 2. Needs a six chair option. 3. Will get scratched easy. 4. Table legs are at the corner, so watch your knees and toes. OTHER: 1. BUY if you are looking for a fairly inexpensive like table for general purpose. 2. DO NOT BUY if looking to replace your good dinning table, or in search of one.

I really like the table and chairs. My concerns are that it is difficult to clean (not sure what to use to clean the table) and that it chips quite easily.

It’s not oak and not even oak color. We ordered this set thinking it would be oak, at least oak color, not so. It seems solid and was easy to put together. Two of the chairs rock and will have to be adjusted by re-bolting the chairs again. I would not recommend this dining set. We are greatly disappointed.

I got the black finish. It’s ok. Would not buy again or recommend. You can see every scratch made from moving a glass or plate. Already thinking about moving it to basement and getting something else for kitchen. It’s tiny without the leaf in. The only thing I like are the chairs. Comes in three big boxes that now I have to break down and get rid of. Easy to assemble as my 11 year old daughter did it herself. We just tightened everything at the end. I realized I’d rather spend more money having something already put together delivered,

They're labeled as "oak", and shown online in the most common, yellowish oak color -- but they are actually a not-even-close reddish mahogany. The table also had splotchy coloring around the edges and sloppily aligned joints. This is the second time something I've ordered from Home Depot has not matched the online description. Then you have to pay UPS to pick it up for a return -- from now on, I'm only buying Home Depot stuff I can see in person at the store.

very sturdy and heavy table and chairs. Assembly went smooth with all bolt holes lining up very well. color is darker than shows in advertisement, more of a red color to it. Only problem is several little nicks in finish from assembly in Taiwan, no damage to packaging to match nicks in wood so assume done before boxing of product. Chairs are comfortable and nice to have removable leaf option.

It s a very good value for the money Its a heavy set , chairs and table, that all seem to be very well made. Set was quite easy to assemble All parts were included and all parts came in excellent condition. I would highly recommend it and if I had it to do over I would buy it again !!

Good buy for the money. Easy to put together. Although one of the pieces came in broken a replacement piece was sent in less than a week without much hassle. Seems good solid oak. Didn't have much chance to use it yet.

The entire set was a breeze to assemble. All materials were clearly marked for easy assembly. I could not be happier with this product. This table and chairs feel like it will out last my kids. The price was perfect.

Putting the table together was fine. The last page "disclaimer" said: 1) never uses glass cleaner on top (ammonia eats it - true), 2) Never allow liquids of any kind to remain on furniture, absorption causes parts to warp, split and finishes to delaminate, 3) Do not write directly on the surface to prevent marking, 4) do not place in direct sunlight to prevent fading, 5) no use of polishes or waxes - prevent yellowing, 6) no hot objects on surface (image of a cup of coffee) to prevent finish damage, and even 7) do not use rubber based place mats to prevent discoloring. I would NEVER have bought this table to use when it is so delicate. The top came with one corner dented just enough to notice, but after putting it together I do not have it in me to disassemble it and return it. The top is the problem. I cannot put it in front of the dining room window - direct sun fades it. I wanted to use it as a work station, but I'll have to buy a protective cover, as you cannot even write directly on the surface. This was an incredible disappointment. I have learned a lesson. I will never buy this type of item online. I'll go to a store locally. I would not have paid $100 for this table, much less than almost $500 for table & chairs. I did use my home depot credit card, should there be any issue about this post coming from a "verified purchase".

Very happy with quality and strength of table n chairs. Easy to assemble with little direction. Only issue was the table had some scratches n looked like missed areas of paint. Called HD.com they contacted company and they r sending me touch up markers. Would for sure recommend purchase of this product.

The Arts and Crafts Table set is of good quality and very functional. The only issue was that one chair seat was assembled backwards and I had to re-assemble it. I had the tools and the ability to fix the defect but other customers would have had to get a replacement. Other than this one issue the table is great for our needs; it is nice looking, it assembles rather easily and it is very sturdy. This is why I gave it a 4 for quality.
