We're sorry to see you are not satisfied with your Glacier Bay Under Sink Filter. Severely restricted water flow is caused by either a plugged filter or lack of incoming water pressure. If you need assistance troubleshooting the issue please call us at 800-247-1087

Almost no water flow through filter when used with lead filter HDXLTF4 in the same two-filter housing I have used for years. I had much better flow with similar Ametek & Kenmore (Sears) water filters.

We are sorry to hear you have low flow through your system. We suggest installing a dedicated faucet so you can maintain a regular flow rate from your existing faucet while having a dedicated source of filtered water.

Cheap compared to many brands offered can't imagine there is much difference unless you pay big money for the sealed type. Using for refrigerator water and ice works just fine.

    "OK"
The HDX brand was the only one on the shelf...so I bought it... it said "Universal Fit" and "replacement for FXUTC". I had my doubts about the fit, since it had a wider head and more shallow inlet. It did fit, but flow is reduced to barely acceptable. It does seem to be filtering adequately...no signs of odor or debris. The flow is a deal breaker for me.

We are sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced while using this filter. With all filtration systems connected directly to your main faucet, you will notice a flow decrease as the water has to pass through the filter first. We do recommend flushing the filter for 15 minutes after installation, which may help with increasing the flow rate. If you would like to discuss your situation further, please call our tech line at 1-800-247-1087.

Does not fit where GE FXUTC filter fits
I bought this to replace my under-sink filter. Till now I had relied on the GE FXUTC filters that HD carried. This one specifically says 'Fits in place of GE replacement filter C (FXUTC)' but the purple plastic rings are wider than the FXUTC. As a result it did not fit correctly in my filter cartridge (OmniFilter). I removed one of the purple rings (just twist and pull) and then placed that side to the bottom of the filter including the black rubber ring. At this point, I could tighten the cartridge top back on and got some water flowing. I just don't know how well water gets filtered with this modification. I've now ordered the GE filters online.
