Fit my application perfectly bought the extensions to make them taller had to cut the extensions down slightly have to really look at which line to cut it on so they fit properly together turned out excellent

I was looking for something with a cover to cover my ugly crawl space vents and to protect them from dirt as I was gonna built raised planting beds. I almost bought those ugly galvanized metal things and went searching for covers for those AND cane across these! I quickly put back those ugly things and ordered 5 of these! They are GORGEOUS! Buy the color that basically matches your house, when in doubt go lighter... and the tree and vents on top are works of art! Who knew something so utilitarian could be so attractive? Someone was really thinking when they made these! I’ve promptly ordered 3 more!

This product was as advertised and is high quality. I needed these to prevent rodents from chewing through my crawl space vents. It was not hard to install other than digging a little deeper to install a pebble foundation. Once installed it is clean and allows any rain to drain through the bottom into the pebble foundation that I installed. I sealed any cracks between the Decovent and foundation brick with a silicone caulk which even prevents snakes from sliding through. No more annual cleaning out of leaves and the pesky chipmunks chewing into the craw space.

Beautiful and beautifully built. Simple, sturdy, and everything it's promised to be. I had a concrete foundation that I didn't feel like breaking up and it still performs and looks great even though it's not fully flush with the ground.

Much better than the plain Jane galvanized steel vent wells. The top is very thick so rain can't get in the vent. Screws firmly to the foundation. I was very happy and satisfied with the results.

The Green Vent Unit was easy to install. We used it for an enlarged crawlspace. With 7/8" gravel in the bottom about 3" deep. It is self draining away from the house. The green cover will blend in with the grass. When the green cover is removed, and the gray panels removed it makes an enlarged opening. It is a nice clean unit.

This is an outstanding product to cover a crawl space vent when a concrete pad will be poured around it. Looks great, and it will easily support being walked on after installation. Something to watch for is making sure the wall the vent is attached to is in one plane vertically. Due to siding, and foundation pour, the bottom of the Dec-o-vent body was almost 1/2" away from the wall, when the lip of the vent cover above the crawl space vent was touching the wall, as it should be. We used vertical strips of Azek to fir out the sides of the below grade foundation, so the vent body was plumb with the foundation wall. You must make sure to support the "floor" of the vent body. We didn't attach it to the drains as suggested, but we did stuff a bunch of 7/8" drain rock down into the hole in the middle of the bottom until it had filled the void underneath. The floor is flimsy, and unless you support it, inevitably someone will stand on it while doing something to the vent, if not this year, then next, and step right through it. We had to buy the vent body extensions, and they work well. Everyone who sees this product thinks it's great idea.

We live in a log house and were replacing a raised deck with a raised patio around the house. We needed to install foundation vent wells. We went looking for them and found mostly ugly vents that would have been open for collecting tree debris. We found these and now have 7 around the house. They are beautiful and everyone that sees them loves them. They are super easy to install. This company also makes a beautiful Dec-o-Space, which is for Foundation Crawl Space Access.

I bought four Decovents and have had two installed so far in a patio area. They look great and also enhance the safety of the patio since there are now NO open voids in which to trip or fall. As the installation instructions indicate, it is not necessary to bolt the Decovent to the foundation if you are back-filing around the Decovent. Last fall I wanted to buy the Decovents directly from the manufactures, but they were too expensive. Home Depot has made it much less expensive and much more convenient to buy Decovents via its web store.

These work great to improve our landscape. Blends in and makes the vents barely noticeable.

When They are installed they looks very nice. Make sure you fasten the vertical part at least in two spots. Leave the top back screws out or you may not be able to open the top because the screws will be hidden under the siding. Also you may have to alter the plastic sides that mate up to the foundation if the foundation is not flat. Mine had a L shape to it and so I had to notch out the bottom corners to make it fit flush against the foundation. It does not effect the structural rigidity of the product. Again they look so much better then the simple screens of my 1957 rental and it keeps the water from flowing into under the home.

I needed to raise the soil level around the house for proper drainage slope without blocking the house vents. This worked great, was easy to place, and somehow they delivered it free the next day after ordering. Seems sturdy enough to last.

Living on a crawl space I've found these to be a great way to vent and/or close off my crawl space to the elements. I live in an area with a high water table so moisture in my crawl is a high concern. Another concern is insects and rodents. Using the Decovent eliminates both problems. The vented cover thwarts rodents completely while the screened opening of my vents prevents insects. During winter months, I'm able to install better insulation to the vents keeping out cold and preserving warmth in the crawl space which helps keep down my heating costs. Finally, they just look good outside and may be help the value of my home.
