Customer Reviews for MSI Greecian White 12 in. x 12 in. Honed Marble Floor and Wall Tile (5 sq. ft./case)

We purchased this to go in our master bath, and looking for a non-uniform look, we actually cut the 4 x 12" tile into smaller pieces (ie: 4x4, 4x6, and 4x8) and laid them randomly in our shower. We buffed the cut edges with a diamond sander and they turned out awesome. I would use this tile again and again! We had these shipped to Maine and I think there were almost no broken or chipped tiles. Very impressed!

I am so over the top in love with the way these tiles turned out on my backsplash for my kitchen. The colors were consistent from package to package, matched beautifully with the corresponding hexagon tile sheets I used as an inset behind the range. Just beautiful 10 out of 10 stars

Absolutely beautiful tile and worth the cost!

Wasn't what I was hoping this time... We ordered this exact tile about 4 years ago (in 2019) and it is absolutely gorgeous. We have it in our current bathroom and every time I walk in there I'm so pleased with it. It's a nice white with beautiful gray veining through each tile (and a little gold veining). Each tile is unique and different, and I enjoy it so much. I sealed each tile before they were installed, and after they were installed, with Bulletproof sealer applied according to the directions on the bottle. We haven't had any issues with the tile staining at all. We have the tile on the floor and the tub surround. We have four kids and it is holding up very well. There is etching on some of the floor tiles from different things that the kids have spilled, but no staining. The etching doesn't bother me at all, as I feel it's part of owning beautiful, timeless marble. Also, we used the Mapei Keracolor U unsanded grout with the mix in maximizing additive instead of water, in their Silver color (FYI, the grout dries a shade lighter than what you see on their sample chart. The Silver color grout is a light gray, and is very complimentary to the gray veining in the tiles. I think we could have gone with the timberwolf and still gotten a light/medium Gray.) We also use the mapei silver caulk around where the tile and tub meet, and in the corners. No regrets about any of it. My husband is a professional remodeler and has excellent equipment, but he did have issues with some crumbling tiles when he did our first bathroom. That's just the way it is when working with such a soft stone; there are certain spots in some of the stones that crumble. Do order plenty of extra tiles, just in case. You can always return what you don't use. I laid out all the tiles in our dining room before we decided which tiles went where (also to pre-seal.) I made sure that there weren't two just like each other next to one another. The other thing we did, and this is what professional tilers do, was make sure that the veining in the tiles next to each other alternated. This will give an overall pleasant look. Now, ...when I ordered a bunch of boxes of this same tile last month (February of 2023) for another bathroom remodel in our home, what I received was almost totally and completely white tiles with a little bit of yellow blotching on a few of them. It was very disappointing, to say the least. I have returned those now, however I'm afraid to order another batch of them because I fear I may get the exact same thing again... and it was so much work loading and unloading all those boxes, not to mention the long drive to and from Home Depot. So, I would give five stars for the Greecian White marble tiles I ordered in 2019, and one star for the ones I received this past month. If you order this, I hope you get beautiful tile, with gray veining, like we did the first time, because the price is incredible and it is so nice!) (I understand that different parts of a mountain are quarried at different times, and so the marble may look different depending.) I will attach photos of the 2019 marble. I didn't take any of the almost all white ones I received, though.

This is an excellent tile are used in the renovation in my master bathroom, and I totally love it. Great quality and looks very elegant.

I fell in love with this

I recommend using this marble tile if you're willing to order more than you need and sort through it. This Grecian White tile is really gray and brown, with quite a lot of brown, which I consider to be a defect. I ordered about twice what I needed and sorted through all of it TWICE to find tiles that had a nice pattern and weren't brown. It was very labor-intensive. But for the price, I expected to do that amount of work. Using this tile kept our remodeling costs down. Remember to vary the tile pattern and color for best results!

I ordered 3 different types of Carrara tile and I received all with no brakes. I tiled my bathtub, shower and floor and I couldn'the be happier. All of these tile came from home depot.

This tile is gorgeous and I can't believe you can buy real marble for this price! We are re-doing our master bath and built a decent sized stall shower. I really waned marble on the walls but didn't think we could afford it within our budget. Thanks to MSI and Home Depot I now get my dream shower. I cannot wait to start taking showers and spending time in my new spa bathroom. The marble is beautiful, durable, elegant and has the classic spa feel we were going for. I looked at some extremely pricey marble and almost made the mistake of buying it, this is every bit as nice and no one will ever imagine you got it for this price. You can't go wrong with this product!

Marble has great color variations-greys and browns. Beautiful!! I'm obsessed with this. We cut the tiles in half and used this product as a kitchen backsplash. A little chipping occurred while cutting, but I think it was due more to the saw than the tile. Chips were mostly inconsequential and on the back of the tile. We've sealed it, just trying to find the time to grout. Cases were carefully packed, no chipped or broken pieces from shipping. Definitely would recommend this product, especially for the price.

I happened to find these tiles in my local Home Depot. Had I been purchasing tiles online I wouldn't have looked twice at these based on the website images, which are misleading. These tiles are not super white and have lots of other colors that really shine through. The website images look white and gray - that's not how they truly look (see image). I used bright white grout to really make them stand out with a new white tub. I did not install these myself so I cannot comment on that process. Overall based on the cost ( I paid more than the current discounted price) theses tiles are a steal and really add some class to my bathroom. In fact, I'm getting ready to have them installed on the floor as well!

The product was 1/2 the price of white carrara and looks great. It has a little more coloring, which was good for our project.

Nightmare experience! Ordered the product through HD online. It was advertised as 6 pieces to a case. When I opened the box, there was one separate piece and 5 pieces in a another pre-packaged container. So, what's the problem? The separate piece was polished Carrara and my order was for honed marble (like the 5-piece container). The store could not fix the problem without sending the entire package back and trying again. BTW, this was the second attempt! The first attempt ended in all six pieces being damaged. So, yeah, I won't be doing this gain with the Home Depot!

Nice but expensive. But I understand it is a real marble stone!

Unfortunately, the actual tile size was NOT per spec on the website.

The tiles are not yet installed. Through the packaging, I see that the tiles are white, Carrara marble of good quality. I am looking forward to the installation. I believe that the finished product will be beautiful and durable.

The Tile is great but the process of getting it was a mess. Not happy abount that and having to deal with it and took over a month when it was supposed to only take 4 - 7 days. Had to reorder and check on the process several time and took extra hours of my time.

It didn’t have blue and it was rustic looking

Ended up with almost 20% waste due to cracks and mainly color variations. Looks real good.

This tile looks amazing in my shower area. Very happy with this purchase.

Tile itself is nice but it’s 10 sq ft per box not twelve which meant we had to order more and it’s more expensive than it appears

I was provided with half the tiles on pickup and told to call the online number if i wanted to get the other half. What a poor way to do business. I returned the tiles and went elsewhere.

I absolutely loved this marble. It looks absolutely stunning in my bathroom.
