This was not 4x4 at all the statement post by HD is misleading so I return all of them back a refund. I can’t trust HD posted sizes or measurements online. If it is not in the store, I will not buy/order again

These post caps have an inside dimension of 2.75 in x 2.75 in, which would fit a nominal 4 in x 4 in wood post (with an actual dimension of 3.5 in x 3.5 in). We recommend filling any gaps between the post and post cap by applying exterior silicone calking.
