Based on other reviewers who bought it for the same reason I did - next to the bed on wood floors - I expected something much better. This thing is thinner than the average household bath towel! It had a thread sticking out on the middle of the long edge and a weird place where the edging overlapped. I was not sure if it was starting to unravel or it just looked weird because of being sewn there. It did not remotely lay flat (it came folded) though perhaps a washing would relax it. I am returning this. I replaced it with a nice plush rug from one of the outlet chains, which actually feels cushy as you step out of bed and looks way better.

These rugs are soft, light colored and perfect for stepping out of bed on wood floors.

The 30x50 linen rug was the correct color for my bathroom but it was only 29x49.5 in size.

It seems thinner than I had hoped, but I have no idea how it will hold up, I just opened the package last night and have not washed it yet...

I actually used two of these rugs as runneers on either side of my bed. With bare floors and three cats these rugs are easily cleaned in the washing machine.
