Great mailbox! Just what I needed!!

After purchasing this mailbox and installing, I have realized that it's slightly underwhelming sitting perched atop of the ornamental pole. I wish it had lights or automated movement, but instead it's just a manual mailbox that opens and closes, flag raises and lowers, but provides no additional functionality. I would have given it a 3.5, but that's not available, so I rounded up to 4. The idea of reviewing a mailbox is about as ludicrous as you might imagine, so what else is there to say?

Sturdy. Easy to install.

Beautiful mailbox. Large in size that will fit small packages and built well with lots of mounting holes to mount to your choice of mailbox post. We were able to put 3" numbers on the box below the flag in the down position without obstructing the numbers.

I wanted an affordable mai box for my rural property. Stylish, not pretentious. Not pricey. My installer said it was easy to put up. My own post shown.

Nice size and sturdy for the price. Fits perfect on the new post we bought, too. Serves its purpose.

I've been sanding and repainting my mailbox every year for many years. After a recent freeze, the paint just chipped off. Finally decided to replace it. This mailbox is reasonably priced, of good quality, and easy to install. Had I known all that, I would have replaced it sooner. I definitely recommend this mailbox. Don't know how long this one will last, but when needed I'll replace with the same brand. I cut the end off the box it came in so I'll have all the information I need to replace it.

Sturdy, attractive mailbox; needed adapter to attach it to my wrought iron mailbox post, but keeps my mail dry and safe from the elements!

It holds mail. You put flag up and the USPS takes mail. Flag goes down. Amazing. New fangled life nowadays...

Perfect color for a modern "aged bronze". It worked great for us and was the expected standard size. I also added vinyl numbers and lettering then sealed it with a flat clear coat spray. It couldn't have worked out better!

If you're looking for a mailbox well this is a mailbox. Would have given it 4 stars if it closed normally. Either you shake it into place or it just don't close. No matter how many micro adjustments I made to the latch, this thing just doesn't have a sweet spot. Other than that it looks great and serves it's purpose.

A good mailbox at a great price. At first the door wouldn't stay shut. That's easy to fix if you figure it out or read the reviews because it's not noted on the instructions. On the inside of the door there's a metal tab, just bend it up a bit with some pliers and the problem gets fixed. After fixing that its a good mailbox that gets the job done. No leaks! It rained right after I installed it and it didn't leak at all.

This standard size mailbox actually seems a little bit smaller than what I think of as standard, but it's okay and it was easy to install on a Gibraltar post.

If you don't mind wet mail this mailbox is fine. after having our address put on the box i find that no matter how it's mounted the door pops open. mail carrier said he sees it happen often. going back to the cheaper plastic ones.

Very nice and very large mailbox. Great for the modern day era where we are having a lot of things shipped to the house.

It was easy to put up. The front door doesn't seem to fit snugly but other than that its good for the price.

This mailbox was a breeze to install and fit on the existing post perfectly. I really like the adjustable latch for the door which the tension can be easily adjusted to preference with a pair of pliers. Well Built and for 20.00 it would be tough to beat this mailbox!

Each side had a bit of a bowed out portion in the middle, which allowed for air and possibly water to come into the base of the mailbox. The box it came in was fine. I was sent a replacement after submitting photos to Gibraltar, which was nice. This will be updated when the replacement mailbox is received. It might have been a glitch in manufacturing.

This mailbox was exactly what we needed. It’s very sturdy and easy to attach to your existing post. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Our mailbox finally bit the dust after our toddlers pulled down on the door too hard. I was looking for the quickest and cheapest fix since I didn’t want to spend the time to replace the entire mailbox (new post, concrete, etc). The Gibraltar mailbox fit the bill in both aspects. I already had the wood mailbox post in place, so I just removed my old mailbox and plopped on the new one. I used the screws from the old mailbox to screw this one down. I did also buy the universal mailbox mounting board, but it was not necessary for our installation. It is doing great and my kids love running out to the new mailbox to check for mail.

This is a great mailbox and it looks absolutely perfect on my new post especially when we got the house number painted on.
