Price, warranty, a lot of garage door opener for the money. Works great

It was fairly easy to put in. Works fine now. Garage door operner people I talked to did not give Genie a very good review. Told me the 20 year old Geenie I replaced was ten times better. Hope they were wrong. Seems to be made cheaper than the old one. Shakes when started. Doesn't seen as well built.

I bought this for two reasons. First, with some changes by the FCC, the Chamberlain was having issues with the signal from the remote. I had read that it had something to do with the frequencies that are used my our military. The second reason is that now I have Genie's on both doors and can program the remotes to open either door. The warranty that Genie has is also great. This product came with a 5 year in home warranty. I had a previous opener that a circuit board went bad. It was a few years old and Genie replaced the board very quickly. The opener I purchased included two preprogrammed remotes and an outdoor keypad. I have become an avid fan of the Genie brand openers.

Installed by professionals, broke right away - it is a piece of junk.

I have this product for 3 months now. It does not appear to be as robust as the earlier model I had - the spiral drive flexes a lot when you open and close the garage door - however, it seems to work fine.

Easy to assemble and install. Product does not have a lot of plastic gears that can break. Product should last for many years.

Bought it through the website. Paid $179 each for 2 units then saw it in the local store for $129. Very nice unit, would recommend. However, very unhappy that I could have got it much cheaper had I not used the website.

Easy installation especially if you are replacing a previous opener. This comes after a chain drive, and I'm sure I will like this better. Easy to assemble components. Directions are clear and accurate, but read them carefully and follow the steps in the right order and you will not have any problems. Safety beam installation (STB) is not optional--if left off the door function is affected--but aligning the two sides is not a problem like some other openers. Five year in-home warranty a big plus for me. Only in for 3 days and so far, so good!

The installation of this product was easy, although installation time was hampered by the severe cold conditions during the install. The provided instructions were easy to understand. My particular install required the purchase of some angle iron sections from Home Depot. I installed two openers, working about three hours for each, for a total of six hours over two days, again because of the temperatures.

This was a Christmas gift for my son. Recieved it very promptly. He went right home and installed it. He said it was fairly easy to install and he says it pretty quiet.

this opener works great so far . a little noisy ,but all of the shaft drives are,,easy install.

my friend installed it in a few hours and it's working well. i have no complaints at all.

I saved significant money by purchasing and installing this unit myself. I had a 20 year-old Genie opener that was no longer working and got several quotes from local garage door companies to have it replaced. I saved hundreds of dollars by purchasing this unit and installing it myself. The installation instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It took me less than 2 1/2 hours to remove the old opener, install and program this one. Great deal. Highly recommended!

The opener is solid built, pretty straight forward install and the warranty is good.

This was a very easy installation! The directions were straight forward and all parts were there. This was replacing a 20 year old Genie opener. Love my Genie!

I replaced 30 years old screw drive Genie.This one is much quieter.Installation is not difficult when you red instructions and you can watch video on your tube as well.Good quality product with less maintenance then chain or belt openers.

The price is very competitive. I did not find the installation to be as easy as the other people who purchased the same opener. I suppose that having to remove the existing door opener had a lot to do with the time it took to install the new opener. It was very easy to program and it opens and closes at a good pace. I like the small openers and with the new design, they will not accidently make the door open like the old ones. The 5 year warranty that Genie provided was the selling point and having the unit delivered without charge was another selling point for this unit.

the door was easy to put up and it looks good. Hope it will last and I a won't need the 5yr warranty. One of the wire input broke when I open it to put in the wire but it still worked.

My husband has installed 4-5 garage door openers in his lifetime. This was the easiest one to install and he was able to install it without a second pair of hands.

installation was easy mounted up to old mounting points. set up was ok had to read instructions. have had no problems with unit, is actually quieter than old unit. old remotes would not program to new unit. not big deal

When opening only, part the shaft moves and jerks so the two ends of several panels have paint and some wood scraped off. I had a sears screw drive for 12 years and it never had this porblem.

AS YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE A BAD OPENER ANYTHING IS AN IMPROVEMENT, BUT I HAVE TO SAY OUT OF ALL THE OPENERS I HAVE INSTALLED THIS ONE WAS EASY TO INSTALL AND WORKS FANTASTIC. COST WAS IN LINE WITH QUALITY . AFTER INSTALLATION MY BUDDY NEXT DOOR HAD ME DO ONE FOR HIM.

One word: LOUD. My father put in a chain drive opener 40 years ago in his garage, and that thing was quieter than this Duradrive. I'm seriously thinking of removing it. Certainly NOT recommended for an attached garage next to a living area.
