The carton needs hand-holds built in. The carton is a bit large to be handled comfortably without them. The attachment of the first piece of roof should be modified. The angles of the retaining screws are awkward and difficult ti install.

Set up was simple and fast. Our twin boys love playing in the house and "cooking" for us on the grille. Well made and standing up to their rougher play. great purchase!

I love that the playhouse is big enough for my 3 kids to play in. They love the grill and bench which is unique to most playhouses.

We purchased this playhouse for our 20 month old for outside because he has loved his play kitchen so much inside. We looked at ALOT of playhouses and based on reviews we chose this one. One reason we went with this playhouse was because our little guy is on the tall side and according to the reviews this one was taller which would last longer as he grows. I also liked that it had one end that was open so you could see in. I cannot say enough about how quick it shipped to our home. I order it on Thursday evening around 10 pm and it shipped out the following morning. It arrived in excellent condition on the following Friday. My husband and I put it together in less than a hour as our little guy napped. His face lit up as soon as he saw it in the yard when he woke up. He LOVES playing in it and it keeps him entertained for a long time. We have purchased ALOT of Step 2 products for our guy and everything has held up really well.

We absolutely love seeing our grandson playing in this adorable playhouse. He loves the grill and the doorbell the most. We would definitely recommend this playhouse for anyone interested in finding a perfect solution for busy boys playtime.

We have 2 year old twins. Sharing isn't always in their vocabulary. This is the perfect size play house because they both fit inside easily, have 2 ways in and out, and can both cook since there is a grill and a stove. Perfect for anyone with more than 1 child. The kids love it!

I have an almost 4 year old and a 1 year old. We got this for my 1 year old's birthday and it has been a HUGE hit! My girls and their friends who all come over to play absolutely love it! We have a great group of friends and their parents who come over a couple times a month for playdates and this playhouse has been a huge favorite!Not only that, but it took me by myself no longer than 35 minutes to put together!

Have it in my rec room for my 14 month Grand Daughter to play with and she loves it! Will get many years of use.

Easy to assemble. My 2 year old granddaughter has spent hours playing in her house. Her sister who is 7, also likes to join in. I would encourage anyone looking for a playhouse to consider this. It is a little pricey, but I feel it is money well spent!

I purchased this for our church's pre-school day care group. The children, ages 3-5 absolutely love it !!!! They love all the features and this is ample room for several children to play at a time. I did not construct it, but, I understand it was quick and easy to construct. It is outside and so far we have not had any problem with the decals peeling, as reported in some other posts. I placed a thick black plastic under the inner house part and secured the plastic with garden staples. I did this to kill the grass so we would not be moving it in order to mow. Atop the plastic I placed rubber mulch. It seems to be "doing the trick" and also prevents the children's shoes from becoming muddy after rain. I would highly recommend this playhouse !!! It is excellent quality....thank you Step2....as always your products are designed well, safe, sturdy, long-lasting, and enjoyed by all children !!!!

We purchased this playhouse for our grandchildren ages 4 & 2. They are both tall for their age so we looked to find one that was tall enough for them to enjoy for awhile. They both love it, there is plenty of room for both of them and their friends too! Very happy with the product.

Bought this for 2 year old grandson and I like the opportunity for imagination with indoor and outdoor theme. Older grandchildren have enjoyed it too!

Easy to put together and the kids love it!

Very happy with this playhouse! It is adorable!Easy to put together, with a drill. Took me about 2 hours by myself.Only wish that it had some actual storage for play food and the "shelves" were functioning. But other than that, we love it!

Purchased for our toddler playground. The kids love it.The grill cover needs a major redesign though. It's not very sturdy, and it's a finger-pinch hazard. We actually took it off.

Purchased this playhouse for my 3 1/2 year old and 19 month old for the summer. It arrived very quickly, and the shipping service in my area was wonderful to work with. Once delivered I put the playhouse together with "help" from my 3 1/2 year old. It was very easy to put together (I am 6 months pregnant too) and the instructions were very clear on what to do. Overall it took me about 30 minutes to put it together. Some reviews complain that the holes were not completely drilled, but I didn't mind that too much, I felt it would make the final product more sturdy. Plus it wasn't that hard to start the holes with the screw driver alone. It could have been even easier using a power drill as well. The only thing that I didn't like about this house is the fact that it only has a bench and not a table. The bench is only connected on one side so it kind of bends at the connection point, and I can easily see that breaking off at some point down the line. The doorbell could also be a little louder, since its mainly an outdoor toy its very difficult to hear it ring. Other than that the kids love it (even our 6 year old neighbor), they have made their own 'bistro' and love serving each other. I would highly recommend getting a table and chairs or picnic table as well, but it's not a must. Lastly, keep in mind that there is no food included with this product. The house only comes with the grill tools, ketchup & mustard, so if you want some hot dogs, chicken, burgers, plates, etc. you have to purchase those separately.

This playhouse is great. It's exactly what we wanted and exactly as it was described online. It was surprisingly easy to put together. I wouldn't attempt this with a manual screwdriver, as the instructions suggest. It's already been rained on a few times and it still looks brand new. We've found step 2 to have the best quality for outdoor toys. They all hold up really well.

I have a 3 year old and a 14montg old and they both love this! I have never reviewed anything online before but I love this playhouse so much I had to! I researched a lot and thought this one fit what I had in mind. And it has exceeded expectations. It's large and has everything my kids imaginations can think of. With the sink, grill, stove and fireplace and bench. It's perfect for playing house or restaurant. Or having a picnic! If you have young creative kids, this is a summertime out door must! It was so easy to put together I put it together with my son in less than an hour. I'm a 32 year old mom. Definitely recommend.

Very satisfied as are my grandchildren. No surprises as to size, color, or quality. No missing parts. Easy to assemble.

We purchased the Gather & Grille Playhouse for our three grandchildren: a 3.5 year old boy and set of 22 mo. boy/girl twins. As long as its close to wintertime we assembled it inside. The plan is to take it outdoors next spring/summer. The set interlocks to some extent, but also should be screwed together for optimum stability. My husband and I assembled it entirely (except for screws) while the kids napped. The children are really enjoying it, and especially love the working doorbell and the swinging door. Our older grandson really grasped the role-play immediately of taking orders for food, grilling the food, putting it on a plate and delivering it to the "customer" with a napkin. We did buy additional play food for the kitchen, such as cupcakes, watermelon and hot dogs, to increase the menu. We even posted a small menu on the outside. I think it's great, and love that the children can be seen at all times.

My 13th month old loves this playhouse and it's the only toy other kids play with when they come over. It's been enough for several kids and the BBQ and sink are a huge hit. My son loves to ring the doorbell everytime he walks by.

I was very pleased when we finally got the house together. It was larger than I expected, and the openness makes for easy supervision. My daughter loves sitting on the bench and especially pushing the doorbell. A few cons, we had to be sent 2 additional doorbells before one would work, the half door doesn't truly stay closed (no matter how flat the ground is) and the stickers easily come off when wet. It also doesn't drain, AT ALL the plugs are useless. Does my daughter care about these things? Absolutely not. But it's good to point out for parents.
