Exact Kohler oem replacement. Identical to the original part. O ring on my old cap wore out. Gas was leaking everywhere. Was thrilled that my local home Depot had in stock. So inexpensive I bought 2.

Gas still dripped out through new gas cap. The issue must be with the neck of the lawn mower gas tank neck and not the cap.

The cap is is passable but it's not an exact replacement. The original cap acts as a plug and a screw cap. This item is only a screw cap.

I agree with mower guy. Why mess with a simple design like a screw on cap. I thought the leak was because I wasn't getting in on right.

I bought this to replace the original because it leaked and was always difficult to install. This new one is no easier to use than the old one. The mower gas tank and cap design is faulty. How can someone mess with a tried and true design of a typical screw top? Not a deal breaker, but definitely a sign that even Toro and Kohler cut corners to make a measly nickle…

This did not fit my Kohler Courage XT-6 walk-behind. It wasn't a bad fit. It was a "no fit." I own the 6.25 model, which may or may not be a supported model. It's a few years old. The cheap inner o-ring disintegrated and the mower would not run with the cap on... it would run a minute or two and then die. Luckily, the Internet offered a treasure trove of answers. Figured that the o-ring death and a possible cap venting issue from a pal flipping the mower to drain the oil... with a full gas tank... were the culprits. Anyhoo, long story short. Does not fit my model XT-6. May fit the more recent XT-6 line. Price in store was $10. It's worth the try, but be aware that a return may be in your future. Good luck.

It's not a suprise the cheap o ring on the cap went bad. Easy pick up at store and fixed the problem of gas leak from cap quickly.
