Grohe offers this raincan shower head in a 12 in. model which I originally wanted but changed my mind at the last minute and ordered the 8 in. model. Good choice. My shower arm is too short to allow the 12 in. to tilt enough to direct the spray downward. If needed Home Depot sells Grohe extended shower arms. Search model numbers 28 383, 28 492, 28 540 or 28 577. To get the full effect of this head I'm probably going to have to order a longer arm. Installation is a breeze. Simply insert the included filter screen and rubber washer into the shower head, apply a few wraps of Teflon tape (not included) around the shower arm and twist on the head. I have well water and I was concerned the pressure wouldn't be strong enough to provide a heavy spray but I was wrong. I open the hot valve all the way and control the temperature with the necessary amount of cold water. Works great. I don't get the driving spray of an adjustable shower head but more like standing in a heavy rain shower. Lots of water for efficient rinsing. The head is heavy and feels substantial. The chrome finish is flawless. The 120 rubber spray nozzles are easily cleaned of mineral deposits with a simple wipe of the finger. Grohe Limited Warranty (U.S.A. Although the showerhead is well constructed and very high quality, this style of showerhead does not produce much pressure. The style name says is all, Rainshower...like a gentle rain. I returned the showerhead after three uses. I simply did not like the decreased water pressure.

Want that look everyone wants then this is for you. Easy to install and the best part is water pressure that the shower head gives you. Superior workmanship and the chrome finish is absolutely what a home owner wants to compliment a look that we all are seeking. Plumbers tape and a wrench to install are the basics that I used to get the job. And once installed, there was line to use the new shower head. Go figure.

Right from the box Grohe shouts Quality. I have the 12” rainshower in our bath, this 8” rainshower is for the guest bath. These are not meant for the traditional showerhead replacement. You need a proper arm to install rainshower heads. In my case I have a shower rail that can support the weight of the 12” but you can install the Grohe 18” shower arm to replace the common angled arm most homes have installed. Note the height of the shower arm may not be high enough for you to stand under. In that case I strongly suggest the rail style this will raise the height of the rainshower hopefully high enough to stand under. In the worse case you’ll have to raise the plumbing to adequate height to allow you to enjoy this rainshower to its fullest. Do your homework and do it right the first time. These are quality shower heads that almost mimic natural rain. My daughter says it’s not powerful enough. I told her it’s not a pressure washer it’s just that, a gentle flow of rain like water cascading down on you not Niagara Falls. She thinks she need more pressure for washing. My wife and I absolutely love these. It is exactly what it is meant to be, a soothing relaxing shower experience with out a carwash feel.

Easy to install and a beautiful shower head. Just gorgeous -- I've always wanted a raincan shower head and finally got this one. My husband (who is incredibly handy!) had it installed in nothing flat and what a lovely shower I had! And it looks really stylish and upscale as well. If you are looking for a new shower head and like the raincan concept, this one is for you!
