Love this microwave!
I read some negative reviews of this microwave but decided to purchase anyway. My old Adora was 8+ years old and needed a new costly microtron to fix. I decided to purchase another Adora as I liked the appliance and it matched my frig, stove and dishwasher. My husband and I installed it. We had no problems with installation, nor did we have problems with the door aligning to the rest of the unit. We did, however, have a problem with the vent staying on constantly. The manufacturer came to our home within 4 days of installation and corrected the problem within 5 minutes. I would recommend this microwave, especially if you need it to match your current appliances.

Excellent choice - price and performance are great
This is a very good product and I am very pleased that I selected it. The sensor is accurate so the reheat function works really well. The controls are well labeled and the display is large and easy to read, even from across the room. The vent fan works well and the surface light is as bright as I would want. We have had it for over a month and use it every day and have had no problem at all.

DVM1950SRSS Satisfied So Far
Did the install myself. Went well. Instructions were adequate. Product looks great and works great after one week. Good features. Will update review if we have any problems.

Happy with the performance... BUT BE FOREWARNED
Bought this microwave along with a matching stove. The microwave cooks quickly and I like it very much HOWEVER the door is sagging 1/8" - just as rip44 stated. Thinking that I might be too critical I asked my teen to check it out, and he noticed it immediately. GE came down and checked it out and the guy indicated that there was no adjustment for the door alignment, and he recommended that I have Home Depot replace it. Guess what - the new unit is also misaligned (check out pic). When I checked at the store I was not surprised to see that the store unit was also off. What's the deal? This is just pathetic quality control!

    LOOKS GOOD AWSOME FEATURES ALL OF THEM
    I HAVE the one that has SS on it but IM looking for a new one mine just died today after 10yrs of good service we are happy with and will buy another one when i can find one.

      This is the worst appliance purchase I've ever made. I bought it as a set with the GE Adora range and refrigerator. It lasted less than 2 years. I noticed the door was misaligned as soon as it was taken out of the box. I called GE and when the service rep came out and looked at it, he told me the doors are assembled in a way to allow for some movement and it is not a defect. Um... I don't care what you call it, it shouldn't be misaligned. Less than 2 years later, a loud buzzing sound starting vibrating through the entire unit when I shut the door and wasn't even using it. I had to unplug it to get the noise to stop. GE came out again and took it apart. They charged me $89.95 just to come out. The estimate to replace the defective parts (monitor switch and main assembly, which GE still uses in other models), plus labor totaled $383. A brand new microwave cost me less than that. The model is now discontinued and after my experience with it and after reading all the reviews, I can see why. The product is just a piece of garbage. Between this experience and problems with a GE washer, I will never buy another GE product again. If I could give a rating of zero I would.

        Acquired poor microwave
        Bought a house a little over a month ago and it has all new GE Adora appliances. They are beautiful. I use the microwave to mostly heat bottles or make tea or reheat food. The sticker in the microwave says May 2013...tonight I put a cup of water in to make tea and when I went to get the tea the screen was blank. It won't work at all, but it did heat my tea. Now my husband is mad at me for "breaking it". After reading all of these reviews I don't think I did anything wrong however the damage is done. Reviews were very helpful. Bottom line DO NOT BUY!!

          Quit after 18 months, utterly dissapointed
          Installed this microwave in Dec 2012. Went all GE appliances with a kitchen remodel. We barely used it. We'd mainly reheat stuff for a minute or two. I can't begin to describe how disappointed we are after it quit working in June 2014. It makes a funny noise now, smells like metal and plastic burning and doesn't heat anything. I've unplugged it. There isn't any excuse for a product this expensive, that's barely used, to fail after only 18 months. This is terrible quality control for GE.

              Is there a timer?
              We have not had any problems with this microwave - but my only problem with it is that it does not appear to have a regular timer on it. Our last one did, and I found that I used it quite often when cooking and the timer on the stove was not enough for everything I had cooking. Am I missing something or did they not put one on this micro???

                It is easy to clean and very easy to use. Love the express cooking button. First thing in the morning I need my hot tea in a hurry .

                Disappointing
                After 2 years and 3 months this microwave started having problems.  If the door was closed it would continue to hum.  A repairman recommended a new motherboard.  Including the diagnostic service call the repair bill would have come to just shy of $50 less than I paid for it! I am not impressed with the quality control in the product and would not buy another GE product after this experience.

                  Broke in a year
                  As with other reviewers. Purchased this as it matched well with our GE range, which we really like and have had no trouble with, but it quit working after 1 year, so will replace it with a better rated micorwave that won't match as well, but will hopefully last.

                    Stopped Working After 11 Months
                    I have to uninstall it from the permanent mounting above the range and send it to a repair center. Now I have a nasty looking "hole" in that spot which is TERRIBLE since I'm selling the home and have to show it this way. I'm very frustrated

                      Nice microwave
                      I have only had this a few weeks and I like it a lot. It is very large inside and I like the controls that prompt you through the settings. The stainless and black is very attractive. I am pleased with my purchase!

                      BAD BAD PRODUCT
                      Just as many, many, many other reviews here & on other sites have stated, this microwave will not last. Ours went out in just over two years - has repairman out - will cost approx $300 to repair. GE will not help. Sounds like it works, looks like it works, but doesn't HEAT. There are a so many bad reviews for this microwave, you'd be crazy to buy it. Matching built in GE oven works great. Guess we will just be without a microwave. Will not buy another one of these & don't want mismatched appliances.

                          Runs but will not heat used less than a year
                          I loved everything about this over the range microwave - until heating two bowls of soup, first one ok, second did not heat!! Of course the oven is out of warranty. We've had it for 15 months although we live at another residence three months of the year - so it's actually been in use for 9 months, by two people. Had our Amana Radar Range for over 30 years and it still worked when we replaced it with this one!!

                          Easy to use, not extremely powerful
                          We bought this microwave to replace a six-year old broken one that was 1400 W. This microwave is less powerful, so we have to cook things a little longer than our old one. It does have an easy-to use interface. You can cook for 30s and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 mins with a single button push.

                            Great unit for the price. Love the sensor cooking& the 4 speed fan. The one price installation was great. This was our 5th appliance we have bought from Home Depot. Can't beat the free delivery and take away of the old appliance. We are very happy. Cannes Langley Wa.

                            It did last for four years...
                            Bought at Home Depot in late 2008 with matching Fridge, Range and Dishwasher. Installed by HD, worked well till two weeks ago. GE Serviceman was just here $80 to tell us it would cost $342 to replace the Magna-something. Currently the same model is on sale at $348. We will try a new one even though it is a gamble. The important thing is that the face and handles match the rest of the kitchen isn't it? Oh and the New one will be easy to put back in as it is a direct replacement

                              Disappointed so far
                              Microwave sensor cooking not working well, constantly having sensor errors. Have to answer several questions before cooking something, and then oven says it's done when it's not. Microwave popcorn still popping and starting to burn at the same time. Ready to call for service to see if there's something wrong.

                              DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!
                              Not long after buying this microwave, it started making a weird buzzing noise. Now it doesn't work at all, actually everything works except it doesn't heat the food. Pretty important feature in a microwave! And, it's out of warranty, it was expensive and I would recommend steering completely away from it! Does have nice features, but those features are pointless in a microwave that cannot heat food. Buy something else. We are shopping today for a new one and will definitely buy a different manufacturer. And it heated unevenly. We should have taken it back once it started making the noise, but didn't. Hopefully, our next one will last longer than this one did.
