I purchased this to coordinate with the new oven and dishwasher, as well as existing stove top and refrigerator. It's fine and does the job. It is bulkier than I expected, not the more sleek profile I was seeking, but I'm used to it now. The two light settings seem the same, rather than a brighter and more muted night light choice.

As advertised and looks wonderful in our newly remodeled kitchen.

This range hood was exactly what we were looking for in our new retro kitchen.

Installation - It is very difficult to install as a replacement unit due to lining up the exhaust pipe to the unit's neck. We ended up taking off the neck and installing it to the exhaust pipe, then lining it up.. Buttons - fan and light switch buttons are located "under" the hood, putting them directly over the cooking surface and difficult to see without looking under the hood. It appears to work great.

The unit installed easily and I have not had it long enough to really judge the energy efficiency of the unit. The only problem that II have seen is that the fan only operates on high and not on low. There are setting for both, but the low setting does not work.

I bought this product to compliment all of my other GE products and I have no regrets

very unhappy with GE shipped me a broken hood. outside metal was perfect inside components for shattered did not see that its all I ask old hood was removed a new hood was ready to be installed. as a contractor I had to eat the cost to install it twice will not reimburse for labor.

Nice product, looks fantastic. However, only wood screws are provided even though bolts are required to mount.

Wanted a classy looking range hood. Looks great. Assumed it would have a higher quality motor since I chose a higher priced model. It is loud and ticky on the lower speed and just plain loud on higher speed with less ticking. Absolutely not Happy with noise. Happy with appearance. =\

The GE Profile SS range hood was easy to install and has been smooth and quiet since installation. The SS finish was the best choice of all store models, and has continued to keep it's luster. The GE Profile model is the best choice for the cost.
