I apologize for any confusion please allow us to clarify how the four (4) year manufacture warranty works.
Warranty begins from the date of purchase not from the manufactures date code. A copy of the original receipt (proof of purchase) is required for a warranty claim to be processed.
Please call our toll free number 888-909-6757 to speak with one of our customer service reps or email us at info@greenworkstools.com. We can do some troubleshooting with you and place an order for any required replacement parts.

Hello Dtwh, We advise our customers to only use Greenworks branded battery and not a third party off brand battery. Greenworks will not be liable for any issues an aftermarket off-brand battery may cause to your Greenworks tools and will void any and all warranty claims for your Greenworks tools. Greenworks will stand behind our product when it’s our product. We do not stand behind third party products as they are not tested nor manufactured by Greenworks.

Hello JLH4119, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with this product. We are concerned to read that you are feeling let down and that the unit has not fully met your expectations. Bump feed getting stuck, check that the guard is cleared of debris. Build up debris on the underside of the guard may prevent the line from cutting at its full potential. Ensure the cutting blade located on the underside of the guard is exposed, clean and clear of debris. If the blade is dull sharpen or replace the cutting blade. This will allow your trimmer line to work more effectively. We hope this tip helps! If the status LED light on your charger blinks red, remove the battery from the charger for 1 minute, then reinsert. If the status LED blinks green, then the battery is properly charging. However, if the status LED is continuing to flash red, remove the battery and unplug the charger for 1 minute. After 1 minute, plug in the charger and reinsert the battery. If the status LED blinks green, then the battery is properly charging. If the status LED is still blinking red, then this likely indicates an issue with the battery or charger and should be taken care of either with our warranty team or by means of replacement. Hello Goon, We are sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing, there could possibly be some wood jammed in the chain. Remove the battery as you check the chain for any blockages. If nothing is blocking the chain, make sure your chain tensioning knob is properly engaged. If that pin on the threaded tensioning shaft is correctly positioned in the bar, then it should tension fine. Please note, this chain saw comes standard with a three-year warranty. This is more than double the industry standard and adds to your peace of mind. When you purchase this chainsaw, you can be comfortable in the knowledge that it will either keep working effectively for the duration of its warranty, or you’ll be able to get it fixed by the Greenworks at minimal cost to yourself.
