The vent served its purpose. The material used to make it is too soft. Anything leaned, or bumped...

Didn’t remove 2 old vents: they were set back enough...
Didn’t remove 2 old vents: they were set back enough that 2 new vents nestled into brick circles, slightly proud. Slathered adhesive on old vents. Tapped vents into place--sound indicated when seated well. ~1/4” protrusion allowed a bead of adhesive. Good project, good product, good results.
