[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the Frigidair 18 cf refrigerator (model FFTR1814QS3) as a second unit for our laundry room. I had no problems setting it up or reversing the door handles. The control are very good and the unit maintains coolness very well. I will mention that when the compressor turns on, the unit does make a buzzing sound. The manual does state that the unit will make some noises. But if this unit was in my kitchen, I would not like it. Being it is in my laundry room, it is no problem.

I have purchased two of these refrigerators so far - one for a rental house and one for a kegerator - and they are both working fine. Because these units are so inexpensive I also purchased the 5-year protection plan for each just in case there are issues. I put one of these in my rental house after the tenant generated $250+ of repair bills because they were overloading the bottom freezer drawer in a much more expensive refrigerator (which now functions perfectly at my house). They needed something really simple so they couldn't break it. They've been using it for about a year with no issues. I bought the second one and added a faucet and tap to create a kegerator. It was about the same cost (or less) to go this route as it was to buy a quality purpose-built kegerator with the added bonus of additional storage space for bottled beverages and a freezer to chill glasses. The refrigerator sits on the back patio in the Florida heat and can still maintain a steady temperature of 38-40 degrees, so I am very happy with it. The only reason that I didn't give this item 5 stars is because it is an inexpensive, bare-bones refrigerator. Although it's not falling apart, the workmanship and overall fit and finish do not match up to higher quality (and far more expensive) units. If that doesn't matter so much to you, then this is your fridge.

I've had this appliance for only two weeks so there's no telling how this ends, but so far I've been very disappointed. About a week in, I first noticed frost accumulating in the freezer, plus, it had been running almost continuously since I had it. Then the freezer seal fell off. I got the seal back in place, but it doesn't feel like it's in there securely. Now, I've begun to notice that the freezer is bowing out on the top and all sides, including the door. As the photo shows, there's a 1\2 inch gap between the stick and freezer top on the right side and 3/8 inch gap on the left. It's like that all around the freezer, but the sides become perfectly flat as I move the stick down to the refrigerator. Hopefully, Home Depot or Frigidaire will provide me with a new appliance without defects, or a full refund.

They delivered and installed it. Looks great in the office and is easy to set temp controls. I would recommend for office or Home. You can buy additional ice maker but since we didnt have a water line in office, I did not buy that.

I have this refrigerator for 2 weeks and I'm not really happy with it. You have to push the door to close it. Also freezer makes ice on the walls. I do not think it is okay. Probably because the door is not closing very good. I'm not sure. But honestly the quality is not really good.

The freezer does not work at all on delivery. Manual says freezer/fridge may not operate in temps under 55 degrees and will sell a heater that you have to install that may help. Home Depot delivery was apparently not aware of this fact as they made no mention when they installed in the garage. Home Depot website product description and specifications make no mention of this either. I unplugged and now need to move it inside and determine if the freezer works at all. Very disappointing. Weak product by Frigidaire and bad advertising by Home Depot. Hard to feel either had the customer best interest in mind in this case. From the manual: Caution: Do not install the refrigerator where the temperature will drop below 55°F (13°C) or rise above 110°F (43°C). The compressor will not be able to maintain proper temperatures inside the refrigerator. Important: If you install your refrigerator in a garage or other unheated area, you may experience freezer temperature problems during the winter months when temperatures dip below 55° F. Upgrading your refrigerator with a Garage Kit will lower the minimum operating temperature of your unit to 34° F. This kit can be ordered by calling the phone number listed at the bottom of the warranty page or back cover at an additional cost.

Quiet, brightens the kitchen, and cools efficiently.

This fridge was delivered on the specified time 1 week ago. Crew had it assembled and running in no time. Temps are right on in both freezer and fridge, and the unit is very quite. Needed this secondary fridge because I grow a lot of vegetables. I 'm well pleased with this purchase.

Old fridge died, limited size and budget so this one fit the bill. freezer keeps things frozen, fridge keeps things cold, so not much to complain about there. It doesn't have any bells or whistles, but thats why the price is what it is. Only complaint was that the handle to the fridge cracked and came off in the first month or so. All in all, happy with the purchase.

Died 4 years later

I purchased this fridge in Jan or Feb this year, now all of a sudden it smell like urine every single time the fan comes on. It’s really a great fridge & I have done everything but can’t seem to fix this problem.

my kitchen has been occupied by Frigidaire appliances for thirty years, last frig lasted fifteen years and was great--- this one is junk. Handles broke off from zero stress, the rollers on bottom will not lower to move for cleaning; I don't know what's happened to this company, but it's not good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is your basic refrigerator. It has two humidity control drawers at the bottom, three spacious shelves on the door - though the space under the "dairy bin" is awkward. The handles could be better - sturdier as they cracked easily and expect to break soon. Replacement is expensive since you cannot just buy upper or lower, you have to buy the "set". Freezer holds more than you think thanks to the wire shelf, however if opting for an ice maker you will lose a lot of space. Good overall for the price, but again, handles could have been better designed.

My new fridge works great, but it has an annoying high pitched hum when it is running. It seems to be getting louder as the months go on. I am not sure if this the norm for this fridge or is there trouble brewing in its future ?

This refrigerator has more space and larger shelf space than my old side by side. It cools exactly as i want and freezes perfectly. The final feature I like is the color, stainless steel front and black sides makes it look very modern.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THIS IS A NICE LOOKING REFRIGERATOR. Lots of room for the size but cheap plastic handles which have broke and replaced in a 2 month period. Freezer is works great. Plenty of storage in refrigerator. Needs better Warranty.

electronics board went out after 5 months, replaced under warranty.....Now the handle broke off.....a VERY common problem with these....why would I pay out of pocket for a clear manufacturer defect of the handle!!!!....Its cosmetic they say!!!!(ie we wont replace it, just look at the handle, don't use it, its for looks only)!!!!

We bought this fridge almost 4 months ago. From the day we plugged it in, it has intermittently clanked and runs extremely loud to be brand new. Overall it serves it's purpose.
