I have been very happy with this product
Both the nail gun and the compressor are well known for their quality and productivity. and then they give you a screaming deal to boot.

Hitachi Framing Nailer Kit
GREAT COMBO KIT FOR THE PRICE!!!!The compressor and the gun work great. One thing is missing to make this the perfect package. Depth adjustment is a must have. Although the gun does not have a depth gauge it responds well to the pressure regulator.

Hitachi combo
Like every tool, the framing gun has its purpose. It is made for framing. Get the flush nailing gun for nailing shear. The compressor is excellent. I have run this thing continuos for hours without any problems. The hose is too stiff, but its great as a lead hose.

    excellent combo kit
the are only 3 things I don't like about this kit. One is the hose is too stiff needs to a more flexible hose maybe even smaller size diameter. Two, no adjustability in the nail depth but can live with that just have to adjust the air pressure. Three, check your local home depot first even though it says online only, i found it at my local store after it had already arrived and it was $40 dollars cheaper. Now I have to try to get my shipping money back and the difference in price. But overall GREAT COMBO KIT FOR THE PRICE!!!!

Hitachi nail guns all the way...
However, the cord this comes with is too ridgid and doesnt like to "work with you"...not to mention the others comments...

      Works great
The compressor and the gun work great. I have used this to frame multiple residential homes: floors, walls, and rafters. Although the gun does not have a depth gauge it responds well to the pressure regulator. The hose is cheap and useless during the winter but this defect does not take away from how well the gun and compressor work. I have since replaced the hose with polyurethane which if included would have made this kit a five star.

        "One thing missing"
10 years in construction taught me that Hitachi compressors and nail guns are the best in the business, hands down. However one thing is missing to make this the perfect package. Depth adjustment is a "must have" in the framing industry and unfortunately that is the one thing lacking in this great deal.

          No Depth Adjustment :(
I would have bought this combo if it included the NR83A2 with depth adjustment. I build a lot of homes in Southern California and use the Hitachi framing nailer along with just about everyone else, but without the depth adjustment it would be useless to me. How can I nail-off sheer panel, deck sheathing, or roof sheating without adjusting the depth? I don't want to blow through plywood and especially OSB because I didn't have the depth adjustment. The inspector would make me remove the plywood and replace it. I don't know about you, but I don't want to remove 100 16d nails per sheet if I don't have to. The compressor is good, but the nailer is usless to me without the depth adjustment.

            Hitachi Nailer
This is a very nice combo kit. I love the nailer except that it does not have a depth adjustment. It is definitely worth the extra $$ for a lighter Hitachi. The compressor is OK, however, the pressure locking wheel appears a bit flimsy.
