The metal clip does not hold on to the chain so it doesn't work. I even used pliers to get it to clip on tightly and but it broke. The plastic and rubber pieces looked to be ok. I believe there is a design or manufacturing flaw. Perhaps a problem with this production run? The instructions and photos show that the clip is narrow but it is actually very wide and thus cannot hold on to the chain. Customer service helped walk me through it on the phone and they sent me a replacement but the clip was still very wide. Via email they responded to me but didn't have answer. I do not think home depot should be selling this item.

To the Quality Control Department - I appreciate Home Depot and I appreciate Everbilt, BUT in my sealed package to utilize the shank shaft bolt I had to go to Ace Hardware an purchase a 6/32 stainless nut w nylon lock. Why? Because in my sealed package was a square brass 8/32 nut that fits nothing in the bag. It was an extreme hassle to stop, wash up and drive to my nearest Ace Hardware to get the right nut. * Buyer beware... because if you have to use the type C (green) and need to use that shaft bolt, you might want to ask at the customer service desk if you can open the package before you leave Home Depot. It could be a rare occurrence but why not make sure and save yourself the hassle.

I only used the round flap seal. Retrofitted it to my existing flush valve.

How about putting it with all the other toilet parts and especially the flappers. It was literally in a corner and myself and an employee spent half an hour looking for it.... Otherwise, glad it still exists

I have an older American Standard toilet and, after a trial and error period with other products, this is the only one that solved my issue. Old school part for an old school device. The fact that it came with optional parts for different types of American Standard toilets is definitely a nice touch.

The flapper leaked and the tank kept refilling. Had to replace the Everbuilt with an American Standard.

Easier to install than I thought. Snapped right in and didn’t have to change the pre-assembled blue neck. The only issue I can’t seem to resolve post install is the toilet handle has to be continuously held during the flushing process whereas before, I could lightly touch the handle to flush and walk away. I’m sure it’s a chain setting issue, but the new assembly works without leaking.

Product is not weighted properly and hangs up when flushing. I was able to use the black rubber stopper on old flush parts to get it working. I would not recommend this ki as a replacement.

This is a well supplied repair kit. It should be appropriate for various Everbilt flush valve assemblies. I used it to replace the flush valve on an American Standard toilet at a neighbor's home and had to change the seal support to the green one - easy to do. The repair took about 20 minutes start to finish. Personally, I do not like this flush valve. I feel it wastes more water during the flush than the simple "Korky"-style flappers. It does not close until the water drains from the cylinder portion of the assembly. This results in most of the water draining from the tank before the valve closes. There is no adjustment to modify the time as there is on the new Korky flapper. That being said, in order to modify the tank you would have to remove the tank from the base, remove the existing fill riser tube from the tank, install the new fill riser assembly, and put a new doughnut gasket and tank bolt gaskets. If you feel capable, change it out; otherwise, this kit will fix your leak.

Only needed the stopper piece but had to buy entire package! Rubber stopper should be available by itself!

For what I needed it for it worked. Home Depot should have parts for older bathroom fixtures. It’s more cost effective to make repairs than buy everything new.
