Customer Reviews for Prime-Line 2-3/4 in. Door Lock Steel Painted White Flip-Action Door Lock

We have a little one who has figured out how to unlock the deadbolt and this flip lock seemed like the easiest and most economical way to contain him. This is simple to install and use. It took me about 5 minutes to install it on the door jamb. All you need is a drill with a 3/32” bit and a Philips screw driver. I’m not sure why they include a small screw to keep it from locking (it kind of defeats the purpose). Besides, it is really easy to remove if it’s not going to be used anymore.

Does what it’s supposed to to

Hinge worked just as it was supposed to. A drill hole guide would have been helpful.

Latch had a lot of play in it and wouldn't keep the door closed. Very little pressure on the door and it opened.

Works great to keep my elderly mom with dementia from wandering off while I'm out of the room.
