Good security, but lacking as a screen door!
These doors weren't too difficult to install, however, I say that as the girl who sat back and watched her husband and father install them. So for ME, it was effortless. For them... Minimal swearing, so it couldn't have been TOO bad. I think the only problems that they had were more related to the crookedness of our house/door frames.
These doors have unique (giant) one way screws to install the frame for the door, meaning they screw in easy enough, but there's no way to screw them out using a screw driver. So get it right the first time, or you'll be using pliers to get the screws out, which can be time consuming.
As for the doors themselves... These work well as security screen doors. The screen part is metal, so it can't be punched or stabbed through easily, like regular screen doors. They have 2 holes, one for a lockable door knob, and one for a dead bolt, which gives you two times the protection. I would feel safe leaving our front door open with the screen door locked, even if I was in another room or another floor of the house. So the feeling of security is there, without a doubt.
There are a few drawbacks to security screen doors vrs regular screen doors. For example, the holes in the "screen" part of the security door are about 3/16", which is plenty big for ants, mosquitos, spiders, bees, and more than likely, stink bugs to get through. My way of overcoming this challenge is to purchase a roll of regular screen, cut it to the size of the door, and fasten it to the door using strong magnets (since the door is metal). Maybe not the best way to handle this, but it'll do for now!
The other issue I can see with these doors, as compared to regular screen doors, is that there's no way to "winterize" them, since there is no glass involved. Regular screen doors typically have glass to replace the screen during the winter, but these doors don't have anything like that.
Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase. We bought these doors mainly for some added security, and I feel like we have accomplished that goal.

Easy to Install!
After a rash of break-ins I had to give the tenants some added security. This 30" door fit beautifully on to the back doors of eight units! Having to buy so many, the owner was happy with the price. Having to install so many, the maintenance man was happy with the ease of installation. Feeling more secure, the tenants are VERY happy and as the property manager, I am happy when everything runs smoothly and everyone is happy!.

This product has great quality and easy to instal
We did order it and pick it up in Home Depot. We never had an experience for installation. We did google and find youtube video. My husband and me made this installation in the same day when we got this security screen door from Home Depot. It was easy to add a lock too. Now we enjoy to keep the door open and screen door protect garage and house from fly insects. It is secured! It is look nice! Now we are thinking to get the security screen door for the front enter and do it yourself.

value for the money
Got two on sale at $64.00 each for the sliding door.
Great value for the money compared to the pre-made security door for sliding door priced at $405.00 each.

Mesh can be cut through!
We felt that this door was secure, until thieves cut through the mesh. It was so easy for them to cut through the mesh, bend it and then unlock this door. Did work well as a locking screen door, but if someone is more determined to get in, this is not the security door to have! Spend a bit more for a stronger one. I am now wondering what the limited lifetime warranty covers and if I can find the receipt...

Laguna white steel Prehung security door
The security doors I purchased were professionally installed with ease.
The doors look attractive and with nice design. The expanded mesh feels
like it's loosely attached but then I am comparing it with the other security doors I have that is with perforated steel.
I had the doors installed just few months ago and can't comment on its durability yet.

Great door at a reasonable price.
Very happy with this security door. Looks great and installed pretty easily. Easy to let the breeze in and see out without people passing by being able to see in. Best part may be that the screen is metal and my cats can't tear it up.

door was worth the price
for what it was it was usable EXCEPT it is not useable in a door frame less than 80" also the screen in the door would let bugs thru AND I have Never paid SHIPPING when bought from STORE, when returned the Store got a different interpretation of the fine print. Shipping is always free to store,or so I thought.

Excellent Security door at an even better price! I was thrilled to find the door on sale for almost 40% off!!!!
The Security Screen door is easy to install and is beautiful to look at. It will last a long time and is kid friendly! Smudges come off easily and there is no screen that can be damaged! It was on sale when I purchased it! I am very happy with it.

Perfect for the Price
This is not a high security level door for a high crime neighborhood, but for two 2-year-old toddlers and a household of animals...perfect! Very easy to install, and pleasant looking.

Great price and value
Only drawback is that if the mesh is damaged it can not be easily replaced i.e. you would need to replace the entire door.

Good Quality for a Basic Security Door
Very easy to install. The istructions are easy to follow. Door looks very good and substantial. Screen could be heavier to avoid noise as the door closes.

Overall a good product
The door was easy enough to install. However, the positioning of the frame bolts is not good. The door hits those bolts if they are not positioned perfectly. I had to remove 1 of the bolts so the door would close properly.

Read reviews with a grain of salt.
I have purchased and installed several of these doors and have not been unhappy with any of them. I have been reading the reviews and while I don't ordinarily take the time to write them myself I thought I'd address some of the concerns listed. There were a few remarks about the lockset/deadbolt not being included. I think the desciption and pictures adequately indicate that they are not included. I think the majority of people would rather choose their own color and style as well as brand so they can key the locks to their existing house keys. There were quite a few people that mentioned this door is more than 36" wide. That's not actually the case - the door with frame is more than 36" as it should be. This is not intended to be mounted flush inside your door jamb, it should be mounted to your trim. One reason for that is that the frame can truly be screwed into structural wood instead of just the door frame. To the folks that had a problem with the security door knob hitting the regular door knob, one solution is to simply reverse the deadbolt and door knob positions on the security door. If clearance is still a problem, then that is an issue with the construction of the main door and not a fault of the security door. Overall, these doors are great and do provide a little extra security - ostensibly the reason one would buy a security door. Installation, if the instructions are followed, is straightforward and relatively easy. as a hint to help reduce the noise these make, I have been known to place a piece of foam weatherstripping on the metal flange that covers the locking latch and extended deadbolt when the door is closed. It doesn't completely stop the noise but it does reduce it significantly.

Great value
The door is of heavy materials. Does not feel cheap. Measurement was correct for door size. Installed easily with good planning. Touch up scratches to prevent rust. The product is well worth the money. You get more than what you paid for. I would highly recommend. Door is universal for left and right side.

Very good price
The security screen door was easy to install,it works very well. The only downside is I wished the manufacturer has included the tool to install the special screw bolts.Luckily I had previously purchased another brand of door from Home Depot and that brand had included the tool.
