Customer Reviews for KOHLER Farmington 19 in. Oval Drop-In Cast Iron Bathroom Sink in White with Overflow Drain

After installing the sink I filled it with water to check for leaks. After the sink was full I let the water go into the overflow for several minutes and water started dripping under the sink. I looked under the sink and there was a small hole in the overflow channel. I'm going to buy some J-B Weld and try to seal the hole. If that doesn't work I will return it. I'm very disappointed in Kohler's quality.

Great quality and craftsmanship

Our ten year old Kohler sink developed a crack near the faucets. We bought a replacement and when the old sink was taken out it was found out that there wasn't proper glue or whatever holds it to the counter. When removed we were told that we needed a new counter to put the new sink in. The new counter comes later this week.

Bought 2 of these for our master bath in 2019, now one is rusted from the overflow and the drain, the other one is fine, so it’s not us or the water we have. First time I’ve ever been SO unhappy with a Kohler product.

I installed this sink in about 2006 and it was beautiful...for barely 2 years. It quickly started to rust around the overflow hole and just deteriorated from there. I was annoyed at the time (I thought Kohler was a good brand!) but just let it go. 10 years later the enamel is flaking off so badly I got a splinter of enamel in my hand just trying to clean it. Good thing I have a recent tetanus shot! I only happened upon these reviews because I'm now searching for a replacement sink and I'm seeing that other people have had the same problem with this sink in the past. Hopefully Kohler has addressed the problems in the recent model. But I'm going with porcelain this time. And probably not Kohler.

Product arrived on time but has defects. Enamel near back left side of sink is noticeable pitted. Kohler emblem is installed crooked and the drain hole for the overflow is not centered in the sink. I am disappointed in the quality of the product. I expected more based on the brand name and cost of the product.

It's a great drop in sink. I don't know why HD doesn't keep in stock, but as long as I can order it I'm happy.

My three-star review of this product gives Kohler the benefit of the doubt because I've bought and installed many Kohler enabled sinks, and they've worked out fine. However, I agree with another reviewer that downrated the product because of enamel problems. My sink is at least 15 years old; the other reviewer's a one star review, was written in 2013. Hopefully, Kohler has solved problem by now. They have changed the model number. I'm replacing the K-2904-8 sink with identical (?) K-2905-8 because pin holes in the porcelain around the overflow have turned into ugly rust spots. The enamel around the edges has peeled back as rust has worked it way up from the base. I'm buying basically the same sink so I don't have to replace the tile counter. If not for rust on older Kohler, sink would probably get four to five starts.

What I like is ease of care and this has it. Wide faucet positioning and continuous form without grime-collecting edges. Stands out with the criss-cross handle faucet. Also, very white.

The Kohler sink fit the original hole that was 34 years old and installed with ease. The new Delta faucets went in with a small change because of new rules as to soldering. Other than that went smooth.

ordered this product online and installed with new faucet and new vanity tops all installed by homedepot contractors the shipment was done on time and received in good condition. the work was excellent and the final result looks very good. see pic posted

Perfect replacement. The old one was rusted out after 45 years.

Installed one month ago. A direct replacement for an older identical Kohler sink. It fit perfectly in the existing cutout in my solid surface vanity top. I installed the faucet and drain into the sink before dropping it in on a bead of silicone around the perimeter. Installation was a breeze. Finish and quality is what you would expect from Kohler products. It was a little pricey compared to other brands but not having to change the cutout hole, saving time and labor, was worth it to me.

Just what I was looking for. I wanted to replace my old sink that had seen better days. This one fit perfectly into the existing cutout and is a beautiful bright white. It brightened up the whole bathroom. No install problems and no damage to the item due to the exceptional packaging.

Sink came as described. Very nice sturdy, sink.

The 2 sinks were identical replacements for the 19 year old originals. The new sinks are not as high on quality. One was sent back due to imperfections in the drain hole and overflow opening. The replacement for that sink is better, but not perfect. As the old saying goes, they don't make them like they used to.

This sink was absolutely perfect for what we needed. It isn't too big, but being cast iron it was fairly heavy. The only downside is that it was more money than other sinks. But, I feel you get what you pay for. This sink will last for many, many years.
