Customer Reviews for Hunter Fan/Light Remote Control-DISCONTINUED

I'm stuck with three of these. Remote stops working at random intervals.. Only way to make it start working again is to turn off the circuit breaker to the line it is on, wait 30 seconds, then turn the breaker back on. Discontinued for a good reason!

We bought 2 Hunter fans with remotes for a large bonus area in our house. Both remotes are now broken and do not work at all. Neither fan works anymore either and we were just using them for the light. Now since the remotes are broken the lights don't work either. The fans will not allow you to use them without the remotes so we can't just pull the chain to turn them on and off. I HATE these fans and remotes!! I think there is a short in both. They are not reliable at all! Also if you lose the remote before it actually breaks, you can forget about turning on the light til you find it.

I wanted to just buy the remote controller, but was frustrated that that wasn't available. I had to buy a controller AND the remote. Waste of money, but necessary to what I needed. The design is also weird. It doesn't fit snug into the holder and has an odd figure eight appearance. Sort of like two marshmallows squashed together. I needed two of them, one for each in two adjoining rooms so the programming made them work as advertised.

Took controller back to store after reading other reviews. Store had to open another boxed fan to get another controller. It doesn't seen to work either so we will probably be taking fan down and returning it to store and selecting another brand of fan.

installed late last summer with a hunter fan on our patio,use less than 1/2 dozen times before weather turned,tried to turn on this spring & nothing worked,receiver was bad, lost receipt but don't want another one after reading reviews here & on other sights, hope quality of fan is better than the control.

its the same remote that came with the fan i just want a 2nd remote and it didnt work

WE HAD OUR PRIOR HUNTER REMOTE 6 YRS BEFORE IT DIED. REPLACED WITH THIS ONE. THE HIGH SETTING FOR THE FAN IS EQUIVALENT TO THE LOW SETTING ON OUR OTHER MODEL REMOTE. WILL BE TAKING IT BACK TO THE STORE.
