I have pictures of the inside blades that are rusting badly. Installed only two months ago. And noisy.

The garbage disposal was easy to install and is very quiet you can hardly tell it's running.

Hands down best garbage disposal I've ever owned. I especially love the air switch that came with it. Such a clean install.

My husband installed the disposal and it was easy and well engineered. It is very quiet. We removed the builder's noisy cheap disposal with this one and it is such a difference. The food is disposed of quicker and easier

I had a 16 year insinkerator that needed to be replaced. The mounting flange on the sink for the old one was the same as for the new one so it made it very easy to install. I'm not a plumber nor an electrician just a home handy man and was able to make the plumbing and electrical connections by following the instructions. Only took me about an hour to install. Its so quite that you hardly know its running.

I love this disposal. I had it installed by my plumber because I wanted it done quick and, err,, correctly! It's very quiet and powerful. I was used to my old disposal making a lot of noise and taking 15-45 seconds to grind up the food waste. You can hardly hear the Insinkerator. My only question or what's got me wondering is with the black rubber splash guard I think it's called, water from the faucet doesn't seem to drain quickly, and when there is food waste, i really do have to push the food down past the splash guard, but that's no big deal and probably how it's supposed to work. Great product.

I am not a plumber, just a regular home owner. It took me about an hour to remove the old garbage disposal and install the new one. This is definitely a DIY project anyone can do. There are many youtube videos that will guide you through the entire process. You will need to also purchase an InSinkErator CRD-00 Power cord kit if you don't want to reuse the power cord from your old garbage disposal. The power cord kit will cost less than $10. I used the kit because I wanted everything new.

So far, the unit has operated well and is quiet. It's too early to know if it will hold up. The last 'stainless' cutting chamber rusted out in 4 years. The two complaints are: 1) the instructions for installation did not cover at all my case of having a dual drain with dishwasher. The connecting tube to the other drain was included in the box, but no instruction on how to install it. Fortunately, the prior disposal set up worked. There was also one place in the instructions that was just plain incorrect. 2) the rubber part that keeps the water from splashing out of the cutting chamber also keeps the food waste and water from going into the chamber. We have to stand there and manage it by continually pushing stuff into the disposal.

I purchased this model to replace a 10 year old GE when we installed new countertops/sinks. My cousin installed one in his new home and said it worked well and was very quiet. I used the electircal cord from the GE unit for the install. The installation took about 30 minutes. The most difficult part was getting the snap ring installed. I tried using the disposal to hold the sink flange in place but it wasn't heavy enough. I had my wife push down on the sink flange from above. This worked like a charm and the snap ring went in easily. I highly recommend this model.

My plumber had a little difficulty installing it as he had to go buy a "kit" he needed to install this new one after he took off the old non-working one. Not sure if it was just unique to my situation due to the age of the previous one or that the part was needed to install it regardless, but overall, I am very pleased with it. It is very quiet and works efficiently. Happy with my purchase!

This heavy-duty Garbage Disposal from Home Depot answered my needs. I replaced an older unit which sounded like an airplane overhead! This new unit is so well built and insulated you can barely hear it operate. The installation took about 20 minutes using the step-by-step instructions. This is one item that made my wife happy!

The disposal itself is great - just one issue I'll get to at the end. It's so quiet that you almost think it's broken. We had a lower model Insinkerator that lasted for years past it's warranty. This time we decided to go with a higher model with a longer warranty, as our house will be a rental at some point, and I want it to be as worry-free as possible. It was super easy to install and we've had no issues - except for one thing - I have absolutely no idea how the design of the rubber thing that goes in the sink got past quality control. It is HORRIBLE. It doesn't let food go down, you have to push it through yourself, and it doesn't let enough water pass through, so the sink backs up with water and makes the sink look filthy and gross. You may not think this is a problem, but try dumping a pot of pasta into a colander in the sink, and watch the water back up while your pasta is now sitting in dirty sink water - GROSS! Anyway, if Insinkerator fixes this one easy problem, I would give it a 5 star rating. In the meantime, I'm going to try making some cuts in the rubber thing to let food and liquids pass more easily.

I have only had this product for a week, so I haven't had a chance to use it much yet. However the disposal was fairly easy to install. And it is very quiet compared to the 15 year old 3/4 hp disposal that I was replacing. Most importantly it has chewed through all the food that I have put inside it to date.

I researched a bunch of units for replacement of my old leaking unit, this model was highly rated for its food munching abilities as well as quiet operation. It met all my expectations at a great price. I wish I could do a long term summary later, but it has been installed for a few months now with no problems. Only took about 45 minutes to remove old unit and install new. My only small gripe is the rubber "shutter" that keeps items from dropping into the disposal doesn't let water drain freely, it creates an air trap that you have to manually open up to let the water drain. Design Engineers need to take a look at that issue.

Replaced my old Badger (7 years old started leaking) and this is much quieter and grinds all kinds of scraps I would never put in the Badger like citrus peels for instance. Easy to install - I installed it myself and am not a plumber (male) and would be helpful to have someone assist with the holding of it as it is a little heavy - make sure you order it with a cord! It doesn't come with one so I was lucky to have the old one to install and reuse (you could buy at Home Depot anyway)

I purchased this model to replace a 20+ year old GE. The installation took about 30 minutes. The most difficult part was getting the snap ring installed. It is a two person job with one person pushing down on the sink flange from above. The unit is very quiet. I highly recommend this model.

We bought this unit to replace an ailing unit that came with our home purchase. It is so quiet we thought it wasn't running at first. The multistage feature means no jams for us. Overall, we are very pleased with performance and value. To top off the experience, we ran into an issue when a thermal safety feature kicked in. We called the support number and, to our surprise, we spoke with a real person who helped us through AND followed up. I'm always skeptical of reviews, especially good ones - know that this reviewer is a real person who is just happy with with a solid product.

Just finished installing this product and it was super easy. I only used a couple screwdrivers and a couple pair of pliers and a hacksaw to cut the PVC to size. I will actually be able to return the extra plastic plumbing pieces I bought and didn't need. The performance of the unit is nearly silent and has all the power to handle what my family of six can throw at it. Not to mention made in the USA. I had an excellent experience with customer service getting me all ready to go before I began.

This unit replaced a Badger1 which had developed a leak after 5 years. Installation was a breeze. I used the existing mount from the Badger1. Everything else lined up with only a slight adjustment needed to the drain pipe due to this units larger size. The adjustment was made by simply pushing the pipe further away. No cutting or additional parts required. I only needed to unscrew the pipe which was hooked up to the black discharge of the old unit thus no water spilled either (BONUS!). After removing old unit I removed the power cord and installed it to the new unit. Then popped the new unit in place and tightened only enough to hold it there. I had no problem lifting it with one hand. Then made the pipe connection. I placed the black discharge pipe into the plumbing pipe first. The rubber connection on the Evolution was great as that allowed me to then angle that pipe to get it in there to connect to the unit. Then secured the pipes, plugged it in and placed the new sink baffle into the sink. Worked great only a low hum. I don't do plumbing work at all and have never done this before but had read it was easy and it was. Took me about 15min-20min. No leaks after filling sink, doing dishes and running it. I will update if the product doesn't work as expected.

The unit was fairly easy to install and replace my Badger 5 without having to mess with the sink at all. It is very quiet operation compared to the Badger and seems to grind up stuff well. The drain seems to be slower but I think that may have more to do with the rubber sink insert than the disposal from what I can see. A little more pricey than I was expecting but it seems to have a 6 year warranty so we will see how it lasts. Happy so far (apart from the sink insert slow draining).

This is the third disposer I've purchased, and by far the best. It is very quiet, and since we're on a septic system, the dual grind chambers were a must. The stainless steel chamber and grind components should also help reduce any residual odors in the future. The instructions were clear, using a scissor jack and a piece of scrap 2x4 made installation easy.

For around $200 this is a great product. My dad has used this same model for a couple years now and recommended it. The unit is quiet and powerful, which is exactly what everyone wants in a garbage disposal. Installation was not a pain and I'm even a first time home owner.

Purchasing process is simple and fairly quick. Not too difficult to install and is working very satisfactorily.

This Evolution series disposal is very quiet. I replace a competitors product during a complete kitchen remodel. And it's much quieter than that one. I haven't run a lot of material through it but it seems to work well with what I have pushed through. My intention with a replacement product was to get a quieter option and I'm very pleased with that part. In addition it has a lengthy warranty. 5 years or so I think. I've only had it installed about 2 weeks. So far so good. I did the install myself and it went fairly smooth. It took me a few tries to get the snap ring back on the flange, but after i got that everything else was easy. Be aware, Plumbers putty was needed to seal the part that sits inside the sink. I didn't know that until I started the install. So I had to go back to the store to get it. And since I was replacing all the under-sink piping that was ok, because I needed a few other things as well.

I was initially hesitant to spend this much for a disposal, but after having it for a while I am glad I did. The disposal is so quiet, I sometimes wonder if it is even running. I chose this model because of the stainless steel. Only time will tell if it will last longer or not.

Replaced my 12 year old Insinkerator with this new model. It is very quiet and efficient.

Just love this disposer it so quiet you'll think it not running. I have'nt found any thing it has chewed right up in silence. My carpenter said it installed in about 5 min. and was the easyest hes ever put in. click on picture to see clearly.
