This is the first time I have purchased a raised toilet seat. I sat on one when my mom had hip surgery, but it was nothing in comparison to the this one that I decided to forgo the ones that were covered by my insurance company. My problem had something to do with my final decision. I have balance issues and I bruised my ribs one month, then immediately after I broke 4 ribs on the other side. So one of my worries was that I have the old round seat toilets and my mom said to make sure that the new one would work. So when I saw this one with the grip bars that are in the right place to feel comfortable sitting down and getting up to reach my cane or walker I was close to buying it, but I dreaded about the original shape of the toilet. But guess what? No problem at all! And the seat is slightly padded for your comfort! And finally, you don't need a handyman, like my mom, laughing, to put it together with a toolbox! Nope, it's easy as pie! And I can't believe how reasonable the price is. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that because of how comfortable it is, I have decided to keep it on permanently. But mostly it's because my toilet is too low and people complain about it! And the great things keep on going, but I didn't mention how it was dealing with Home Depot online. Well, the shipping was free and I received it in 4 days which was the day when I was released from the hospital. Great timing in my humble opinion. So, before you make a decision, please know that I worked in sales and exceeded in customer service. I am one of those people who love to tell people about how wonderful something is and have them come back and thank me profusely! It's the best thing. But what I don't do often is write reviews. It's too exhausting. But when it comes to important things like this, I will try and make an effort to let you all know that this one cost much less but you will be getting the Cadillac version. OK, I am really going over the top, but I am still surprised at my discovery, which wouldn't have been so simple if it weren't for the ease of the Home Depot website.

Great product but hole is small and it must be cleaned after each use.

Had to return it for several reasons - was not stable so we were afraid it would slide off the toilet, and the opening is too small.

I bought it for my elderly mom and it was crap..It wobbled, wasn't secure..The seat was too high and she couldn't touch the floor making it very difficult for her to get up from the toilet..

I’m 62 year old lady and It was very easy to assemble it fitted perfectly over the toilet with no problem

Disappointing! This is why I tried seeing toilets & seat risers in person. Despite measuring, too high and the hole is way too small.

It was very helpful post surgery and worked wonderfully for me, but not as easy to move for others to be able to use the toilet. Also the opening is quite small and got pretty dirty along the sides.

This elevated seat is a huge help in my recovery of non weight bearing meniscus root surgery. It is very easy to sit on with the height it's at on my toilet. The handles are such that getting up on one leg is a breeze. I wish I would have purchased this toilet seat 11 months ago when I had a total knee replacement on my other knee!! I've seen other reviews say the toilet seat moves and it will if you don't tighten the turn key on the front of the seat. Maybe this should be done periodically to make sure it hasn't loosened with constant movement. It is super easy to keep clean and I totally recommend this product to physically challenged people.

The arms should be a little higher.

Does the job for what's intended. Snug and secure fit.

The seat comes out too far in a small bathroom. I've scraped my shins on the lock several times since getting it.

I had a hip replacement and this seat helped me tremendously with comfort and being able to help me get up and down by myself

This elevated raised toilet seat has been excellent since my hip replacement surgery 3 weeks ago. I had no problem with the seat fitting my commode which I was concerned about after reading many reviews. It is sturdy and easy to keep clean.

This device is a great aid to me. It makes it a lot easier to arise from sitting for people with leg challenges.

I can’t give a review because we ended up not needing the seat so never opened the box & returned it.

Easy assembly - and easy to remove if necessary. Opening/hole is small for a large person. But overall it is solid and steady.
