This from the beginning it’s good. After few months buttons falling down. Once you lost button in the dark. Lock going to be regular keyed lock. It’s not recommended.

This has to be the worse lock I ever got. The instructions are wordy and hard to understand. The wire to connect the halves electronically is short and flimsy. After installing the deadbolt sticks both extending and retracting. When you put the code in to unlock the door, the bolt half way retracts and the door remains locked. There are about 8 steps to add or change the lock codes. I am returning this lock and buying from a different company.

The lock is built pretty good. It worked ok from the start. Just make sure you program what way your door swings. And don't forget to change the default program code or else anyone can get it! We will see how long it lasts!

Love, love this lock. It looks excellent in our home and provides extra security with the auto lock feature. Was very easy to program as well.

I had to do a bit of filing here and there, but in general it was really easy to install, and I'm very happy with it. Wasn't an exact match for existing handle (pictured), but I think it's close enough.

Hard to install, does not lock in place once finished. Programming is tedious. Poor quality. Get MiLock instead!

returned...color did not match

This lock start giving me problems from the first week of istaled, I have ro reset it several times to make it work well , I just don’t have time and dont want to pay 100 dollars to install a newone so I’m using it with the key.

It seems ok, but it is very confusing to program! I called Lockstate and left a message to no avail. It does match color wise as my other doorknob is 10 years old and the silver matches good. I went on youtube and the guy that does a walkthrough was even more confusing! They should put a video so you can watch and learn!

I bought multiple locks and have found these a poor investment. The big problem is that the buttons begin to fail after about a year– the contacts go bad. The surprising thing is that the locks aren't exposed to the elements and, being used in Florida, contend with humidity but not freezing temperatures. Clearly the keypads haven't been through quality control testing. Once the buttons start to fail, you have to resort to the key. Another issue is that the automatic locking sometimes work and sometimes doesn't without a discernible pattern. The body of one lock had a slight warp, which meant it didn't seat well on the door. The only positive is that batteries last well, but perhaps that's to be expected when the keypad doesn't work.

Its a good solid dead bolt that is sort of tricky to understand the programming booklet but once you get past that its fine

Installation was not too hard. But it locks it self sometimes and there is no way I can open the lock. even with a key it's still kind of jammed. I need to bring my key with me all the time just in case.

It was very easy to assembly, looks nice and it worked perfectly until yesterday (9/14/15, 3rd week of use) it keeps locked all the time. I changed the batteries, I reset it, but nothing works. I'm ready to remove it from the door and to return it.

It is so nice to walk up to your door and not have to fumble looking for keys. If you have a friend stopping by you can program a code to be used only once to give to your friend and not have to give them your code. It's amazing.

It was a little bit of a pain to install. We had to drill a bigger hole in the door so it would fit. But no big deal. It was easy to set up. But we had to turn off the auto locking feature. No matter what we did, the auto lock would malfunction every third time. Dealt with it for a few days and then gave up. Very disappointing. The auto lock was what I was most excited about and it doesn't even work. It is what it is, I guess.

I purchased this and installed it. I had a hard time programming it and had to get a locksmith to come and program it but no success there either so I ended up having it uninstalled and returned which I ended up purchasing another brand that's not this current one and it worked with no problem.

Was pretty easy to install but I did need some technical help which was given quickly and effectively.

I had a key operated lock. The new Electronic Keypad, would not fit the old hole. So, I had to drill a new hole; Then very thing went smooth after that. The instructions were confusing on putting in the combination. It works very well now.

I bought and returned it for the error situation 6. put user number then door open but closed too quickly to close the door. beeping error notice. It stay in closed status. then i returned it and bought similar one made by Kwikset. compare those.. Lockstate has more one accuracy to fit my door but kwikset is super easy to programming Lockstate programming is real programming. It needs to set up programming code than program the user code, led, autolock control. But Kwikset uses a button for user code set up. And has some switch to control LED, Autolock.... I paid $13 more but I felt like i got $100 worth convenience.

As Home Depot does not stock these in their physical stores, it was difficult to know that the lock bore mechanism wasn't high quality. As we are using it on a shed, the quality issue isn't that critical, however, I would not use this on a entry door to a home without upgrading the lock/key mechanism first. Easy to install and program and the one time use codes are fantastic for a space that you only want people accessing a single time (be sure to tell whomever you give the code to that this is the case so they don't accidentally close the door and have the auto-lock feature lock them out. Makes management of access incredibly simple.

The first keypad lock I purchased had to be returned because it was defective. The second one works except that, on two occasions, it froze up and required resetting. While the resetting worked, it froze on two separate occasions when family members were trying to get into the house. I do not have confidence in this product and might have to return this second one for a different brand.

I love the concept and design of this product, but It is constantly getting stuck locked and locking me out of the house. When I say stuck locked, I attempt to unlock the door and it gives me 3 beep and red flashes, going around to another door and using my manual key I can get around to the door and have to hold the lock in the unlock position to unlock the door and then remove the battery and replacing it to reset the locking mechanism which allows the lock to function normally again.

Greatest invention EVER. I would recommend highly.

When pushing the numbers on the keypad, sometimes you have to press the same number over an over to get it to engage. I did not have this problem with another keypad from Home Depot. I will probably return it and purchase the one that I had in the past.

Very disappointed that Home Depot would sell something so unreliable. Lock malfunctioned within 2 days of installing and kept malfunctioning after resetting as instructions instructed. (Bolt kept getting stuck and couldn't open door) Returned to store and purchased another more reliable brand. Home Depot was wonderful during this process though!!!

I owned this for a month in a half and the deadbolt stopped working. It extended and would not go back in. Tried new batteries and clicking the reset button did not thing. RETURNED it to the strore.

Not sure if keypad was broken. Tried everything but it kept beeping and would not lock. Had to uninstall and return. Waste of time.

I have installed this one for four months and my family has no problem with this lock, especially, one of my family member always forget the key. We each have our own code and it was doing the job very well. Installation was very easy. Only took me 10 minutes. I like the auto lock function that comes with up to 99 second delayed time which gives me extra time not to rush to enter the door. It's really peace of mind for in and out without worrying to lock it up. Of course, you don't want to hit the door molding when deadbolt strike is out. You can even disable for auto lock system. Keep in mind, set your desired time up to 99 seconds.Keep pad is so far so good and stylish. It really works in the dark. I like the feature with one time pass code that you can give it to others such as cleaners or contractor. I really recommended to others. Thank you LockState.

Installation was very easy, setting codes were very easy, however just disappointed that the locking mechanism failed after having it for less then a week. The lock was convenient and worked great but the mechanism did not last very long for the price that was paid.
