1 of the 2 braces was perfect and turned out...
1 of the 2 braces was perfect and turned out great. The other was bowed and disappointing and I didn’t notice how much it was bowed until after it was stained. Other than that, it is a great product .

Not Finished
I received the product, Very ROUGH cut. Not like the picture. It is the correct shape, not sanded at all. Not what I expected.

Hi G2,
I am certainly sorry to hear that you were not happy with the product's finish. You are correct, the product is not sanded at all. This is part of our "Rustic" collection of products which are literally raw beams cut into braces. We try to be as transparent about this as possible by literally calling them "Rough Sawn Brace" which means completely unsanded and unfinished.
The good news is that Home Depot accepts returns on these products. We do offer a sanded version of this same exact product. Look for the "Smooth Brace". These products are made out of Cedar and are sanded.
