useless manuals
In the manual it stated following
•Occupancy Sensor Version allows to toggle
between Auto-ON/Auto-OFF or Manual
ON/Auto-OFF mode with a simple press and
hold of switch.
•Occupancy Sensor provides for a bypass
feature to allow the sensor to perform as a
traditional switch (Manual ON/Manual OFF).
In all manuals/datasheets, they all say it can do that, but never told you how!!??

Hello, it is unfortunate you are not pleased with the Eaton sensors. Please note the sensors do come in two varieties, Occupancy--OS310U and vacancy---VS310U. Now on the OS310U it is AUTO ON and AUTO OFF. Vacancy sensors are MANUAL ON and AUTO OFF. The instruction sheet we send with the units works for both unit, but does state which options work with what sensor. Now the sensor shown is our Vacancy sensor which is Manual on and Auto off. Able to sense ghosts
I purchased six of these motion sensors, and after wasting hours of my time and feeling stupid, I called the technical support line for this product and was told "call an electrician". Once the electrician also wasted his time and could not get to work properly, I repackaged the three we tried and will return to store. The electrician and I think these units are able to sense ghosts, they go on so randomly we had no other explanation. We turned off all fans, central a/c, left the room and watched them randomly turn on the lights while we were outdoors looking through a window! Waste of time and money. Recommend you look elsewhere for a motion sensor switch.

Not motion activated
The description says the VS310U is motion activated but it is not, it is a vacancy sensor which means it requires manual turn on and turns off automatically. The OS310U is the motion activated switch is similar. Home Depot got this wrong which is causing me to reorder and putting me behind on my project. The product seems like a good product so I am going to buy the right one.

Hello, you are correct Vacancy Sensors are Manual ON and Auto off and Occupancy is Auto On and Auto off, but the OS310U can be programmed to act like a Vacancy sensor Manual On and Auto Off. After a review of the Eaton packaging, Eaton does state Vacancy Sensor VS310U on the outside of the box and Occupancy Sensor OS310U on its packaging. Thank you.

ok product
I have used this product before and will install the new one in the garage. I currently use one in laundry room which is why I want to install in the garage. Your online website is very user friendly.
