Customer Reviews for ECHO 120 MPH 450 CFM 58-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Leaf Blower - 2.0 Ah Battery and Charger Included

I have had two Echo gas-powered leaf blowers and each was terrific. I was recently in Home Depot and noticed this store had a few of these Echo battery-powered leaf blowers on clearance so bought one to see how it compared to the gas powered ones. It only took a couple of minutes to unpackage and read the included instruction sheet. Upon depressing the battery gauge button I noticed the 58v battery had two out of four bars lit so I put the battery on the charger for about an hour. When I checked the battery gauge button to see if it had charged it had charged more it still read two bars. I proceeded to leave the battery overnight on the charger and checked on it in the morning, still two bars. So, I figured I would give the leaf blower a try and ran the motor for a bit blowing some small piles of leaves and debris off my front yard and into a pile. Then I put the battery back on the charger and this time heard the charger fan kick on and the the flashing light went from red to green. The battery charged to full in about an hour and ready to give it a real try. The leaves have pretty much all fallen and most all have already been blown and the yards cleaned up, but I wanted to see what this blower could do. The leaf blower is a slightly lighter than my PB-251 gas blower but part of that could be due to the shorter blower tube which is a bit stubby in my opinion. I also noticed that this cordless leaf blower has a rather large opening, about 3.25 inches, at the end of the tube which seems to diminish the effectiveness of the claimed 450cfm and making blowing much less concentrated and requiring me to keep the motor at full speed the entire time. While I have not drained a battery from full charge I have run it for about 7-8 minutes at full speed and that took the battery down about 1.5 bars. I read other reviews of getting 30 minutes out of a full charge at full speed but I am skeptical. I believe it would be closer to about 20-25 minutes to completely drain a fully charged battery, but that would be enough to do most if not my front and rear yards except during the fall when I can blow leaves for what seems like forever. This leaf blower came with the 58 volt - 2AH battery. I'm sure if it came equipped with the 4AH battery, which comes with the Echo cordless mower, it would be able to tackle most all leaf blower chores for small to average lot sizes. Unfortunately, the town that I am moving to has outlawed gas-powered leaf blowers so I may have no choice but to use a cordless battery-powered leaf blower so will be keeping this one. Just wish the tube would narrow down to a smaller opening, perhaps around 2 inches like my gas-powered blower which makes it feel quite a bit more powerful. I may see if I can modify some ABS or PVC tubes and joints to see if that helps.

Works flawlessly and between this and my echo weedeater-I can’t seem to wear the battery out after several uses! Only wish is that it was a bit lighter and less bulky.

This leaf blower was a Christmas gift, so waiting until spring to use it!

I bought this Echo in the summer in prep for the fall leaves of which I have many. It is easy to put in the battery and takes little time to charge it. I keep the charger in my laundry room near the back door. The battery life does not fully last for all my work in the back yard but it is great for doing small jobs like the deck and around the hot tub. It would be nice to come with a back up battery so they can be changed out. I use my Toro for longer jobs. For me the benefit is that it is powerful and cordless. The nozzle fits in the battery space when the battery is charging making storage easy. I recommend it and would buy it again if I needed another one.

I love this blower. It performs as well as my gasoline model and has good battery life. The only improvement would be to sell it with the 4 Ah battery. It's quiet and doesn't bother neighbors. I have a big driveway and can sweep it, sidewalk, porches, patio and garage easily on a charge.

Easy to assemble and to use.

the on/off switch is just about the dumbest design ever. Only reason I bought this was because I had the Echo chainsaw (5 stars) and this takes the same battery.

Battery operated...great idea. Started right up. Only issue.....item too heavy and bulky. I am sticking with my gas blower. It is easier to use.

I love it. I've had the other Echo cordless 58v products - string trimmer, edger and hedge trimmer for over a year now and this cordless blower is a wonderful addition. Battery charges very quickly and blower has enough force to get the job done. Solid, quality built product.

The battery is only supposed to last for 15 minutes at full speed and then takes a half hour to recharge.

I bought the whole line of 58 V Echo products. This blower is poorly made unreliable China made junk. These leaf blowers run and then the motor cuts in and out. Echo once sold good product- I had an old echo trimmer before and it was good quality like a stihl- I'm surprised they would tarnish their good name by producing such junk overpriced products.

It worked as expected and was great to have wireless blower. Very strong.

Received the blower battery did not get charge no able to use it, called ECHO service several times call did not go through. Called HOME DEPOT excellent service and attention but there was nothing they can do in reason that I per vendor I needed to take the charger and battery to a service place.. Called the phone number no body there only after 3PM. I returned the blower to Home Depot for a full refund. Very disappointed with ECHO it was a NEW Blower never used and I was not able to get a replacement part or a good blower .

The battery blower is convenient with no cords or gas but it is heavy and the battery does not last long enough to do my entire yard.

It's fantastic not having to mess with gas. Pull the trigger and go. Little on the heavier side but great overall product.
