I bought this shower door 2 years ago when we remodeled our bathroom. Our shower is 46" wide, but the opening with the door opened to the max is only 18", very narrow to get in. And now 2 years later, the wheels make a horrible grinding noise when we slide the door. I can't wait to replace the whole door with a different one. This door looked attractive for a frameless type but it is not worth it. I do not recommend.

    Very nice
I love this door, but it was not a cinch to put up, in fact I had to hire someone to do it. Also the one thing I don't like is it has a bar that goes from the door to the wall to hold it up. This is not a problem for me but could be for a tall person. I would not get this door if you are taller or as tall as the door. You can see it in my picture. I didn't see the bar in other pictures so was not aware of it until installed so just be aware. Otherwise love it.

Thank you for your review. DreamLine does recommend that our shower doors be installed by professionals due to the size, weight and fragile nature of the product. The support bar is pictured in all of the photos of the shower door. We have even included a close-up of the support bar so that customers can evaluate if it will work for them or not. DreamLine encourages all customers to click on and enlarge all of the thumbnail photos available before choosing a shower door. Thank you for choosing DreamLine and your review. bathauthority

    Dreamline Mirage frameless shower door
The installation guidelines were very well put together, however some of the parts were in different boxes, and took a little longer to find. Definitely need 2 people to put together

    Love my shower!
This door gives my bathroom the elegance I was looking for at a reasonable price! I removed the old slider before my renovation because the tracks were hard to clean so I love this frameless style and this door allows the view of my new renovation.

    Mirgae 44 in. frameless door
The door is sturdy and well made. It is as elegant looking as I hoped it would be. My builder said that the instructions were a little lacking in places, but he did figure it out with little problem.

    High end look and quality
Easy to install. You will need a second person for lifting. My order was missing a couple gaskets. The company shipped the entire assy within a couple days.

    Great value!
This is the second Dreamline shower door that I purchased. The first one was installed on a custom tile shower. It looks as expensive as the work on the tile. It was very impressive. The glass is thick and glides easily in the track. It really shows off the shower tile and stone work with the headerless top. The next one I purchases included the shower pan and I installed custom tile on the walls. As with the first one, the glass was very impressive. So was the shower pan. It was sturdy and seems like it will hold up for years to come. I always put mortar on the floor to prevent squeaks. I will always look for a Dreamline product for our remodel projects. They are great quality and price. It definitely takes two people to manage the installation. Read directions thoroughly and handle carefully.

      Support bar deal breaker?
I didn't notice the support bar in the picture until it was too late. I had already order the door and was on its way. I mean the price iwas great don't get me wrong, just dislike the bar but too late it's installed. Beautiful though if you can handle the little eye soar.

      Sliding shower door
This glass door is so beautiful. Very heavy, need two people to install it with muscles! Easy to follow instructions and makes my shower look like a million bucks.

      Disappointed in the support bar
We were so so disappointed to see that a support bar had to be installed right in the middle of our beautiful tile. I missed that detail in looking at the picture. It takes away from the frameless idea. I called the product support who said the top support bar had to be installed for the warranty to be valid. I now wish I would have just left it off.

Dear Valued HomeDepot Customer, We have reached out to the MFG for more information and below is their response. "The support bar is a feature that can be clearly seen from the images provided, as well as the description of the product. This is a necessary part of the installation, as it not only supports the heavy glass against the wall, preventing the vibration of the glass and possible damage and injury, but also guides it during sliding operation. Not installing the support bar will void the warranty provided by the manufacturer (5-year limited warranty). We recommend that our Support Department is contacted at 1-866-731-2244 for assistance with the proper installation of the support bar, and also to answer any questions you may have."

        Really looks great
We tiled our shower and wanted a door that would not block all of the great looking tile - So, this was a perfect choice. We used Home Depot Installation services, and unless you are REALLY handy I recommend it! The directions are very specific, and my thought was this glass door is really heavy - I would hate to drop it or mess up the installation by missing a step. The installers did a great job and it came out beautifully. This door is a high end appearance with more of a mid range pricetag. Definately worth it.

High quality, good looking shower door.
This door is a very nice looking, high quality door that was pretty easy to install. The hardest part was drilling through the tile but after I got the right drill bit, it wasn't too bad. Definitely need two people for the heavy pieces of glass. Happy with the purchase.

        Quality machining; sturdy, and beautiful
If you've spent the past week tiling a shower stall, the last thing you want to do is cover it up with a bulky framed shower door or *gasp* a curtain. It's a little pricier than your standard shower doors, but it provides a clean, unimpeded view that visually opens the stall to the room and showcases the beauty of tile work. You're also paying for quality tempered glass and really well-machined fittings. I've seen a lot of fittings in my day, and these are really well designed and cut. Notes on installation: the glass panes have a heft to them - be sure you have a pal around to help them in. The last thing you want to do is chip a corner while setting them. Be sure the top fitting for the roller door is perfectly level, otherwise you may prevent the door from sliding easily through the full range. Also, be sure to clean the glass before installation, as there will be a few inches unreachable once they're secured. As a fun effect, you could apply an automotive windshield spray to have water bead on the glass. Overall, the quality of the fittings and the heft of the glass allow for a really solid product and a pretty simple installation. Cut the bottom track to fit, be deliberate about making sure everything is plumb and level, and you should be very pleased with the result.
