Those who are into retro will love the Minka Lavery Downtown Edison 3-Light Brushed Nickel Bath Light. I love the brushed nickel finish which matches the other finishes in my powder room. Sized smaller than many 3-light fixtures, this fixture is just right for powder rooms or bathrooms with small vanities. The light is surprisingly heavy for it size and is well made and stylish. Maximum wattage is 40 and 3 Edison-style bulbs are included. Installation is easy and takes less than 30 minutes. It's an on trend addition to my bathroom!

This has a great modern, yet classic look to it. I wondered how I'd like the look of just a bulb without the glass section around it, but I was pleasantry surprised, and even more important, my wife loves it ;). It is very solidly built, much more so than the one I replaced which was still an upgraded builders fixture. The bulbs take a minute to get used to, in a newer house all of the lights are CFL, so you almost forget what incandescent light looks like. Although it was hard to get a good picture, I tried to get them with different exposure setting so you could see the fixture and the bulb. Overall this is a great light and a nice upgrade to the bathroom.

This is a really fun light fixture, and more importantly, it was super easy to install. I've replaced just about every light fixture in my house of the course of the last five years, and this was hands down the easiest installation. I had the old fixture removed and this fixture in its place in less than 30 minutes. I replaced an old bar light that used 4 round 40W bulbs, and when using 60W bulbs, this fixture puts out way more light. The bathroom is noticeably brighter now. I originally got elongated Edison bulbs to use in this fixture, and they fit just fine, but I didn't like the yellow light it put out. So, I ended up going to standard sized clear bulbs & it looks nice. Great fixture that will be a nice upgrade in any bathroom!

This is a very attractive light fixture that really lights up my guest bathroom. Installation was pretty easy; I just removed the old vanity fixture and installed the new one. The only installation issue is the clearance from the top of the fixture where two screws hold the fixture on to the base. I was able to use my regular screwdriver but a small one may be needed on some applications. The brushed nickel finish is beautiful and I love the old time antique design. The fixture did not include bulbs so I went to HD and purchased 3 LED bulbs that brighten up the bathroom. I love this fixture and recommend it!

I absolutely love this light! I've been looking for a fixture for the bathrooms in my cabin, but have had a difficult time finding something that has that old cabin feel with modern convenience. This light fixture hit the nail on the head. It has a sort of old school look that goes perfect with my cabin decor with a modern brushed nickel finish. It looks amazing! Next purchase is the 3-light option for the full bath. It's worth the price and I'm am thrilled with it. It was a simple installation for DIYer, and I just can't say enough about this light.

first to start with a quality: The light fixture is made of a Hi quality materials stainless steel and glass there is no plastic involved or installed on this light fixture, the light socket are ceramic. Overall look of the fixture is retro look which personally I like, the light is strongly directed downward because of shades so when you install it you ceiling will be minimally lighted unless you have another light on the ceiling. Installation procedure is like any other that i have instal, it have large insall plate that you mount to the El. box then light to that mounting plate. installation of light globes require removing the white painted metal ring install it on globe than reinstall it back to a fixture (I will post some photos). If you like antick this fixture will suit you. If you like wide spread light through out of your bathroom you may not like this light fixture as it is strongly directional light downward (it does make shade upward). The fixture in manual claim that it can be installed either way facing UP or DOWN with that statement I disagree because if you install it facing UP your bathroom will be shaded and all the light will be on the ceiling, you will have light but it will be strongly dimed by your bathroom sink as all the light is directed up.

We recently had our bedroom and master bath repainted and my wife wanted to replace the bathroom light. We chose this beauty. The light has a fair weight to it even without the globes attached so you need to be careful installing over a glass mirror. The light fixture is stunning. The only negative is the installation of the globes as the three screws that hold them in place are tough to tighten with my large hands. I bought 3 LED clear glass bulbs at Home Depot and it really came up looking great.

This Downtown Edison light is a very nice light. The brushed nickel is a great look and compliments my bathroom very well. Since I already had a vanity light in place, installation took me 5 minutes with the supplied bracket. One minor issue I had was that I have a mirror molding right below the fixture, so trying to tighten the screws on the bottom of the light, to secure it to the bracket, was a little tough. Other than that, no issues at all. My LED bulbs fit with no issues within the glass shades. One thing to keep in mind, is that at 18.5 inches wide, it is pretty big, so in a small bathroom in may look out of place. Bottom-line, it is a great, stylish light that I would recommend to anyone looking to replace their worn out vanity fixture.

I bought 2 of these for my bathroom. I expected these to be better. One of them 2 of the sockets are a bit wonky and slant to the left. But I like the look overall & just feel like I paid too much since the one has issues.

Beautiful, very bright light fixture! I purchased two for a double vanity and they are beautiful and functional.

this light was pricey and the light hoods where not even and this item was alot larger in real life. Way to big

Large and substantial lighting in our bathroom. We love it!

We needed something that was simple in style, yet elegant and most importantly - easy to clean. Light fixtures are the one thing I always forget to clean and dust-build up on typical fixtures (glass, shades, etc.) is pretty obvious and hard to overlook. This fixture is perfect for our small master bath to add a touch of class without being too trendy. Very easy to install and gives off the right amount of light for us.

It is too dim for a bathroom light. It gives off a brownish glow which counter acts with the brushed nickel. I am going to have to use different bulbs which is a shame because these are so beautiful. With a different bulb hopefully it will give more light.

Very nice looking. Somewhat nautical. Very pleased. However, changing lightbulb might be a pain.

Installation is a breeze and appearance is exceptional. I used a 3 foot level to install the mounting bracket and simply marked the holes and installed the anchors. The included hardware works nicely and accurately. The globes are plastic and not glass. There are advantages and disadvantages to that. Obviously plastic is safe should it ever fall from the fixture, but it can yellow over time with heat from bulbs. However, if you install "vintage appearance" LED bulbs, the effect could be sensational over time. The machining of screw holes is mediocre, however that is pretty much a norm with light fixtures of any make. I would not make any judgement for purchase based on that. The actual fixture did mount easily and nicely to the mounting bracket and very firmly. The thumb screws to secure the globes were a bit challenging, but how often do you ever change a bulb - especially if you use LED's My overall recommendation is to purchase this light if you like the appearance. The appearance would be my deciding factor as the other issues are not show stoppers.

This Downtown Edison 5 light brushed nickel bath light brought richness to my bathroom, elegance, romance. It is all I could of asked for.

This light is made with high quality material. The design is simple, unusual and beautiful! It's medium to heavy weight, not the cheap flimsy bath fixture. We made sure all the anchors are secured to accommodate the fixture. Although it's a 2 light bulb fixture, the brightness is good for a medium to large size bathroom. It was a good choice, we get compliments when the guests turn on the light.

I really love the styling of this vanity light. The finish is a brushed nickle and gives a nice clean look to your bathroom. The total height of the light is approximately 10 1/2 inches, and the globes are approximately 6 inches, long and designed to be used with the Edison-type bulbs. If you install it over a medicine cabinet with a door, that needs to be considered before you install it. I would recommend that you assemble the globes on the light fixture to get the correct clearance and placement. The light measures approximately 10 1/2 inches from the wall to the end of the reflector bowls, and each reflector bowl measures approximately 8 1/2 inches wide. The total width of the light fixture is approximately 28 1/2 inches.
