Although the light looks and works fine. The mounting bolts on the mounting plate were too short to affix the lamp. I had to secure the mounting plate with a piece of 1/4 hardboard behind it to ensure the nuts could secure the lamp to the bolts. We also used another shade from the lamp we replaced (the switch didn't work properly) rather than the shade supplied. The shade supplied did work for our purposes. The light was directed down with the supplied shade. The shade we are using is more translucent and lights up the room.

When I realized I couldn't afford $200 each for two swing-arm lamps for my guest bedroom, I started searching. Thankfully, i came across these at Decorators. They are attractive and well-made and perfect for my needs. Even the soft green is nice and sets them apart from the more common white or ivory. Their ability to use 50-100-150 is a terrific bonus, particularly since I needed reading in bed capability.

Better than expected - sage green with brown specs in color - matches decor perfectly. Interior metal is shiny gold but outside is stated color. Light density is more like for reading or ambience lighting - perfect room for children getting ready for bed.
