If you have average or above knowledge of programming, it's a breeze to program. Radioreference and Youtube has excellent information to view BEFORE you begin programming. The scanner has several nice features and works as advertised.

Nope they have frequencies blocked that I wanted it’s junk

Once I was able to download the software (I’m a mac user) it was a breeze to use. A good idea is to go on youtube to figure out how to run the software.

Loved the idea of a scanner, instructions not very good at assisting in setting up the radio. Very difficult to program, not codes included, etc.We returned it!

We have been trying to Program it for 2- days and it is not what It appears to be or advertised. We are still working on it, have paid the fee and still have nothing. We are very disappointed so far after having spent almost 300.00 for a nice Christmas Present and pay to activate it. At this point, I don't recommend this kind of gift nor scanner to anyone.Very dis satisfied with this scanner. Nothing, it is not working. More like a Scam to us at this point or worse

The bad reviews because they can’t program is nonsense. Videos on YouTube very easy to follow and then you have a manual. All information to enter into the scanner is on scanner reference.com. The rest requires a little patience. Place the scanner in an area that receives good reception or purchase an external antenna. The scanner works perfectly and is crystal clear. love it.

I have had this scanner approx. 2 weeks, and I am not happy with this scanner and would like to return it. It did not meet my expectations. Overall rating: 1 Would someone please instruct me on this process for returning this scanner?

DID'NT KEEP. TO HARD TO PROGRAM.

I'm a little concerned about this scanner it's the same one I purchased from Radio Shack 2 years ago and the volume and squelch went out it also was very difficult to program that I had to have a professional shop do it for a fee.

LOVE IT EASY TO USE

After attempting to program it myself, I tried to find someone to assist me. Found many people who had programmed scanners and police equipment and they weren't able to help and didn't know of any businesses that offered this service. Very disappointed that finding a way to program the scanner is so challenging and elusive.

Very good scanner. Use mainly for 800 Trunking. I would buy again.

This was a good buy from Home depot. This unit is very complicated and hard to program. I also had to subscribe to a service to load the frequencies in batches. I must have spent 8 hours working with this unit. I thought it was me but a person I know with a similar product worked on his for 15 hours to get the way he wanted. The unit is good quality. I guess it was just too hard for ME to program!!! I returned.
