The shower package was real good and stylish. However the recommended Shower valve that I ordered, p/n K-304 was defective. The valve cartridge was missing one "O" ring and another was broken out of the four "O" rings required. After paying approximately $90 for the valve, you would think all the "O" rings would be installed correctly. Thankfully, I was able to obtain the correct size "O" rings from my workshop.

The Devonshire Essentials Performance Showering Package in Polished Chrome was a very good upgrade to our bathroom. The large shower head is outstanding! You don't need to turn around much because of it's massive size. The shower head is also adjustable with three different flows. It only puts out 2.5 gallons a minute of water but that can be adjusted higher by a simple procedure to the shower head. The hand held shower is also really nice and the wife loves it. Installation is pretty straight forward and the average home owner should not have a problem with it. One important note though is that the hand held shower head bar MUST be secured to a wall stud. Very important!! At first this package can be a little intimidating. When you open the shipping box you find 7 other box's plus a clear bag! Yikes! But after going through them all you'll be okay. Each part of the package has it's own installation sheet which overall is a good thing. So far we are really happy with this shower head.

The Kohler Devonshire Essentials performance showering package in polished chrome is a great looking package. I think the shower head is nice and big. I like the slide bar kit with the hand shower too. The one thing I do not understand is not having the pressure balancing valve included. The shower head is a multi-function spray head that works well. The diverter is in the shower arm witch works well for me.Very well made and quality shows.

I am happy with the looks and operation of the unit itself. The big main shower head is awesome with maximum coverage. No need to run around the shower to get wet. It will take some thought to install but should not be a problem for the average homeowner. If you are using it for new construction you will need to purchase a mixing valve separately. This is ideal for a handicapped person because it is so versatile in how many positions you can use it in.

Will be returning it as soon as my alternative parts from Kohler arrive. The mechanism to operate the hand held shower is on the shower head in the Devonshire model - so, unless you are very tall, you cannot reach to divert to the handheld. Not possible for disabled people to reach.

After traveling to Europe and using these style showers in the hotels, we knew we needed this in our lives! We love our purchase. Kohler makes a great product! Very sturdy and durable. A little challenging to install if you aren’t a plumber! Make sure you buy the right valve, it’s not included.

A small notation was made on this item - “valve not included”. Getting the right valve, valve defective, getting replacement valve, getting conversion pieces to fit trim. Has been a real headache. Kohler has been helpful. suggest that Home Depot sale the necessary valve with this item.

The Kohler Devonshire showering system met our family's expectations. We feel it is easy to use with all household members, which are ages two to 93 years old!

Difficult to find compatible valve, took 2 tries. Home Depot, where I purchased this, didn't carry the valve. Then hand held system was missing two parts. Kudos to Kohler for sending parts quickly for free, but it delayed bathroom renovation 2 weeks. I didn't install this, but my contractor spent hours figuring out all the problems. Also for vertically challenged, it is difficult to reach the knob to change valves to handheld because it is located up by shower head. Not accessible for people with disabilities. On the plus side: Good quality, very nice looking and hefty performance. I am enjoying the actual shower experience now - good selection of four different water sprays.

I'm not one for fancy shower heads but my wife and daughters are. I installed this set up in our downstairs guest bath room when we retiled it and now my daughters use it more than their bath room. My youngest like the fact that she can adjust it to her height (or lack there of) and the oldest because she likes the sprayers. I just like that it was so easy to install.

I bought this shower system so that my kids could shower by themselves using the handshower. Unfortunately, you have to manually switch the diverter on the shower arm every time you want to use the handshower. It reverts to the shower head position every time the water is off. I called Kohler and they said there is nothing they can do. This is a basic functionality. I am very disappointed that such an expensive set does not offer it. I now have to buy a separate shower arm and diverter. Very disappointing. In addition the handshower is huge in the oiled-bronze color, it is not the same as the one that is included in all the other colors. Not sure why, I wish it had the smaller model.

The fixtures are really nice. The quality is good (so far, just installed). The problem is that you need to buy the pressure-balancing valve separately and it costs another $100.00. In Summary, the product looks really nice and very modern.

Got this for elderly parents' bathroom (handicapped) and should have taken time to go to a store and look first. To use the handheld, you must always manually do so at the top each time you shower. Very inconvenient when I am trying to shower someone else. Seemed very pricey without enough functionality.
