Trim kit did not fit my GE microwave and it could not be returned. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I ended up not being able to use this and Home Depot would not take it back, becasue it was shipped as an appliance. The trim kit would not fit my microwave even though, I asked for specific dimensions and the model number. So I ended up throwing it away, a total waste of time and money.

Display is easy to use, build is ok… dropped down a star because the ‘open’ button feels cheap.. in fact first one the button broke first time I pushed it. Had to return it.

I don't like the way this sticks out from the cabinet. The one that this replaced was flush.

The trim kit worked out well. However I ws a little surprised at how bulky it appear one the cabintry. Its so clunky looking that it doesn’t appear as a custom builtin

You need to be careful when ordering this item .The item is well made and comes with everything that you need to install BUT be aware that it only covers a small area of the cabinet . Mine did not fit the existing cut out in my cabinet and had to be returned . Another note Home Depot considers this item a major appliance and must be returned in 48 hours of delivery . ( Stupidest thing I have ever heard of " Major Appliance "). This has been the most difficult item that I have bought to return .

Terrible design and terrible fit. Lots of gaps around the microwave which looks terrible. Prior trim kit on my GE microwave was a much better design and looked better. Color was not white as well. Be warned. I was told there is/was a manufacturing problem making these trim kits.

Needed this size to replace an older failed unit. A little small for my desires, but microwave works well - trim kit works.

Item is not flush with the cabinet. There is a half inch gap between the trim and the cabinet at the top and bottom.

It recommended with the microwave that I bout at the same time with the help of the appliance specialist. And the opening of the frame is an inch smaller that the microwave. So I had to return it because it does not fit. And on top of that Home Depot gave me a hard time to return it,

The microwave worked put because the Appliance supervisor was extremely helpful and made sure it fit in my old kit

Purchased as a replacement for a older model, it was supposed to be a match but needed a slightly larger opening than the prior GE model. I just had to enlarge the corners of the opening maybe 1/8 inch. Other than that it was easy to install and looks good, there is a slight gap around the microwave and the trim, it is not a snug fit.

Attachment holes angled in way that makes it difficult to put screws into hard surfaces. Plastic material not durable and easy to scratch.

Over priced but it gives it a great finished look I would recommend it

My GE microwave died and the replacement model was a slightly different size (of course it was), so I had to get this trim kit. The old one was aluminum and had vents that allowed it to sit flush with the in-island cabinet. This one is shiny black plastic and stands proud of the cabinet at least 1-1.5 inches. If I had known how bad it would look, I would have had a custom one made.
