We love it!!
It was a pain to install. It took us all weekend but it looks amazing. My husband went to Home Depot 3 times. Getting thru the tile was the worst part.

    Door failed while showering
Door failed under the slightest pressure to seat it in the rubber gaskets at either end. The doors won't stay closed at all and so water escapes. With a cup of coffee in one hand, I slid the door closed and tired to get it to stay. The door was instantly in pieces, in the shower, around my feet and ankles, in my bathroom floor...in my drain. This was a pretty intense situation, to exit the shower and attempt to clean it up after dealing with cuts on my feet, hands and ankles. There is at least one other review on here where this happened.

Excellent alternative to a true frameless shower enclosure. Very well made and Delta support was outstanding. I would have given this 5 stars, but as an experienced diy type with prior enclosure installations, I still had difficulty cutting the top rail. My installation required notches at both ends of the top rail and there are few acceptable methods to do this. My first attempt was not acceptable, so I called Delta support. During my discussion with Delta support, I explained I was not happy with the top rail, so Delta shipped me a replacement free of charge. Second time around the rail came out great. The fact that Delta stood behind their product has made me a future Delta customer. Great and company.

      Good value
That biggest challenge was drilling through the tile. Maybe it's the tile I had chosen, but it took longer to do that than to install the door. Other than that challenge, the installation was pretty smooth. Everything went as expected and the directions were easy to follow. Both doors slide smoothly and it provides a water-tight enclosure. Pretty attractive for the price.

Great look but shattered after 3 months of use
I loved this door and how it looked when we put it in in May. After only 3 months of use the door suddenly became stuck while trying to open it and after applying slight force to open the door shattered into a million pieces. Perhaps I recieved a faulty door but if this is standard quality I do not recommend

The Delta Crestfield 60 in. x 58-1/8 inch Semi-Frameless Sliding Bathtub Door in Chrome with Droplet Glass is a wonderful addition to our bathroom. The directions are straight forward (all 24 pages) with clear illustrations. My neighbor helped with the installation and all went well until we cut one of the aluminum frame pieces exactly one inch too short. I called the Delta Customer Care phone number on a Friday and received the replacement part on the following Monday morning via express delivery. I cannot thank them enough for their response, even though the issue was mine alone. What a wonderful company! The shower doors are heavy, so you may need some help placing them in the slots. When placed, they are easy to open and close, and the design of the bottom track makes it easy to clean. By doing everything right with an attractive product, clear instructions and Customer Care that works, Delta hits a home run! Customer Care had no idea this was not a verified purchase when dealing with my replacement needs.

AFTER LOOKING AT MANY OPTIONS WE CHOSE THIS UNIT WHEN IT WENT ON SALE. WE REALLY LOVE THE LOOK. I INSTALLED IT IN STAGES AND IT WAS QUITE EASY. THE ONLY CONCERN I HAD WAS INSTALLING THE DOORS. ONE DOOR DID NOT HAVE A LABEL INDICATING WICH SIDE TO FACE INWARD. I DECIDED TO USE THE ETCHED IN DELTA LOGO IN THE LOWER CORNER AND FACED IT THE SAME DIRECTION ON BOTH DOORS. THIS DOOR KIT FINISHED THE RENOVATION OF THE TUB SURROUND WITH THE ADDITION OF THE SHOWER OPTION.

We like the style and the relative ease of installation. A bit difficult cutting the upper trim to the proper length without the right tools on hand. After the installation even thought the doors were hung as low as possible, had a problem with water getting on the floor after splashing on the lower rail. Called support and they sent out a "deflector" strip that glues to the bottom on the inner door. This has solved the problem so far. We liked being able to select the style of the glass and the door handles to match the existing fixtures.

          Exactly what I wanted
These tub doors are beautiful and functional. We actually had a contractor install these when he remodeled our bathroom. He didn't have any installation complaints. At first I was horrified because water was everywhere after my first shower and I then discovered that the contractor did not caulk the base or around the outside of the paneling. After I caulked everything with a 100 percent waterproof silicone caulking, we haven't had any more leaks.

Should have gotten this sooner. Excellent solution and improvement!
I had hesitated on getting this sliding bathtub door as I have installed cheaper versions in the past and they just did not have the feel and quality that this one does. You need to take your time installing this and make sure that you seal the seams (silicone is what I used). The finished product has doors that glide effortlessly and sink into snug fitting pliable "fingers" that hold the door into place whether it is fully open or fully closed. The hardware is solid and feels of quality. The pattern etched on the glass looks pretty good but there are several really nice choices as you pick the frame, the glass and the hardware separately. So why should I have gotten this sooner? Look closely at the pictures and you will see where the left side of the tub is the damaged sheetrock from water splashing out (3 little boys take their baths in this and sometimes all at once!). The right side has the same damage and If I had installed this sooner, it would have paid for itself as I don't do sheetrock repair. One final note is that I needed to get a couple of trim pieces for the top where the shower enclosure made it near impossible to match up the trim. Fortunately, there is such a trim available. I'm getting more of these units in the very near future. Worth the money.

              More than your money worth
These are beautiful doors. In my opinion this Delta Crestfield set up actually exceeds its value for many reason. So you get more than what you pay for and who doesn't like that. The sliding doors arrive in flawless condition in 3 different packages. 1 package was the doors. The other was the frame and the last was the door handles/towel rack. I have been slowly updating my master bathroom. Replacing all of the old gold accessories and some other things. These shower doors went a long way to update the look of my bathroom. The quality is just fabulous. The doors themselves are made of real tempered glass and they are a nice 1/4 inch thick. Each door has a coating on one side that prevents hard water spots and makes them easier to clean. The droplet pattern in the doors is a very nice touch that adds some flavor to the look. The nickel frames are absolutely stunning. The pictures on the website do not do them justice. They look so much better in person. The top rail can be reversed and each side of the top rail is a different extruded molding. One side is a more elegant looking beaded molding and the other is a simple and modern looking cove style molding. These bathtub doors are very easy to install. Even for someone with no experience. The included instructions have detailed wording with pictures that make them easy to follow. All the hardware you need to install is included. You only need simple tools to get these doors installed. A drill, 1/8 and 5/16 drill bit, pencil, masking/painters tape, hacksaw with 32 tooth blade, measuring tape, a level, and silicone calking in what every color you desire. The instructions call for a level that is 36 inches or longer, but a 24 inch level will work just fine. The most important thing to be aware of during install is to make sure the 2 vertical frame are the same distance from the edge of the bathtub. Also do not cut the bottom at top rail the same length as the bottom rail sits inside the vertical rails and the top rail sits over the vertical rails. It took me about an hour to get these doors installed. Once done it is a very sturdy set that will last a long time. The one thing that amazed me is how smoothly the doors glide. I just feel like with these doors you get more than your money's worth. Delta did a great job here. Quality extruded framing pieces with a beautiful finish. Thick real glass doors with a nice droplet pattern. Very well packed to avoid damage in shipping. Each box is number with a 1, 2, or 3 so that you know which one to open and start with first. The install is easy and only requires a few simple tools. The included directions are detailed and very easy to follow. Just a well thought out design. The hardest part will be to stop looking at it when you are finished lol.

              Very high quality!
These are some very nice shower doors!! The finish on the metal framing frame is excellent. The doors are very heavy glass, with a release finish applied to the tub side. Water beads off quickly, leaving no water stains. Installation is not difficult, the instructions are easy to follow and all hardware is included in the package. The side jams must be perfectly plumb in both directions, check your level carefully and shim if necessary. As I said before the doors are HEAVY, I strongly recommend having a helper when handling them!!!

              Looks Wonderful
In my existing tub/shower, I have a curtain. I got this door to replace it. I read the instructions several times and made sure that I had all the necessary tools. I needed to get some silicone and a 32 tooth hacksaw blade. First, you install the side brackets. You need to make sure they are straight with a level. Then you drill the walls and attach them. If you have tile, you'll need your own wall anchors. The ones supplied are too large for the holes (3/16) for the tile. This is mentioned in the instructions. I didn't not need to cut the brackets because my walls do not curve down onto the tub. Next, you measure from the inside of one bracket to the inside of the bottom. Measure several times so you don't make a mistake when you cut the bottom bracket. I cut it with the hack saw and a miter box. Once cut, you slid a rubber gasket in and cut the gasket to the size. After making sure it fits, add silicone to the bottom and put it in. It doesn't screw it, it merely rests on the tub. Next, measure on top of the wall brackets (not inside) and cut the top bracket. It rests on top and its attached with a screw on each side and a plastic mount. Next, attach the rollers to the glass doors. Pay attention to how you attach them. There is a specific side that is in and our. Make sure also to have the rubber gaskets in the hole of the glass. The doors just lift in to the upper bracket and rest on a rail. You have to roll it back and forth a bit until it is properly in and rolls easily. Then you attach a plastic guide the the center of the bottom bracket to keep the doors from swing in and hitting each other. After, you attach the handles. Finally, add silicone to the edges. This all took a few hours and wasn't that difficult. Just go slow and measure carefully. They look great and the water just glides off of them.

              Great Look Easy Install
This shower door took me two hours to install. I got the area cleaned up. All the parts cut to size and dry fitted. Then installed it. The directions are easy to under stand with pictures that's also show what needs to be done during that step. One thing in the instruction was to use a penny to mark the curve at the joint where the tub and wall meets. I tried a quarter, dime, nickel and penny. I put each into the joint and used a flashlight to see which one let less light through. For me it was the dime. I also had to drill out the holes for the side anchors 2/64" larger for them to go into the hole. Otherwise it felt like I was going to smash them before they would go in it was so tight. The doors slide effortlessly side to side. The doors give the bathroom a upgraded look in our bathroom. Great quality, ease of installation and nice upgrade look. Very happy with this product.

              Custom frameless look, Excellent quality
We recommend this sliding semi-frameless bath tub door. It is ideal for the DIY user and quick to install. It allows the home owner to obtain an attractive, professional quality frameless shower and tub enclosure for a fraction of the cost of a custom installed equivalent. If you are interested in more detail please read on. I have tried to provide input, photos and a short demo video for the prospective buyer. What we like most: 1. The enclosure is very attractive, sturdy and well built. 2. The shipping was great with the door arriving in perfect condition (see attached photos). 3. The directions are good and DIY friendly. Total assembly and installation took two and one half hours. 4. The quality of glass is excellent. Thick, tempered and coated with spot guard. 5. We like the 5 year limited warranty and proven Delta quality. Our firsthand experience: 1. We first removed the old enclosure and used a power brush with a soft scrub cleaner to remove stains. We followed the included installation directions paying close attention to the following installation tips: • Using a level to get our upright wall jambs perfectly plumb, taped in place with painters tape before drilling holes (see photo). It should be noted that we were installing into cultured marble so we were careful not to over tighten the stainless screws. • “Measured twice” for the proper length of bottom rail before cutting it. We used a hack saw with a fine tooth blade and a miter box. We then installed the gasket provided. After checking to be sure the rail fit properly we put a bead of marine grade silicone sealant on the grove on the bottom of the rail. • We then measured twice for the top rail and cut it in the same fashion. We checked for level then secured with the supplied T-straps. The doors hung straight, once the center divider is installed the doors are secure and do not have excessive wobble (see video) 2. We have enjoyed the functionality and appearance of these doors. They seem to be better built and designed than the ones we replaced. We are looking forward to years of trouble free use.

Replaced 70's-80's Cheap Gold Aluminum Frame
First off, Read ALL the Instructions. It seemed a little complicated as first but You need every detail to make sure you don't mess up. One of my biggest questions was, what length do i cut the side rails, you do NOT. It took me a phone call to get that answer. You only cut the top and bottom rails and NOT the same length, top is longer than bottom. Also, DON'T use a miter box, it was super hard to make the cut and especially the top piece. Spend the money and get a saw, table saw, etc.. The height is 58 1/8 in, my bathtub came out at 58 3/4", so I had a gap at the bottom. After looking it over, I realized I had plenty of room at the top, so a quick run to Home Depot and bought some universal shower door hangers and a little modifications, problem solved! If you look at my picture, at the top of the glass, you'll see the sliding hangers slightly show, that's what I had to do, to make it work since my Shower-Tub has built in side rails. BTW, my tub was slightly not exact leveled, but as long as your level is within the range of the bubble, you're good to go! One door wanted to slide to the other side, but after I dropped the door down 3/4' to where it needed to be and put the bottom sliding plastic track on, it gave enough friction to keep the door in place. The Glass Doors (Rain) seems heavy enough, others complained of their glass doors shattering, etc... I had no problems and I did the whole removal and installation by my self. I will say, the price of the glass seems reasonable but the metal extrusion kit, I feel is a little overpriced as well as the door handles. I worked in a metal shop as a teenager and know what's involved in costs and production. Overall, a great upgrade from what it was previously!

One,Two and Three - Easy as Pie
This is a very nice sliding tub door with a excellent nickel finish and niebla (I call lite frost/hazed) glass door with towel holders on each door, one in and the other out. The install here is much like any other be it a tub or shower, first is the sides and in this case are a set height. Next you fit the bottom railing/glide and it sets in place using sealant and I tape it down with tape over night. The next day I fitted the top rail, here we knocked it to fit over the top of the enclosure and on the face. There's a tab/clip that fits inside and them is screwed to the sides to hold top in place. The final part in putting the rollers on the top of each door and adjusting the door to fit even on the sides. You do this moving the roller into one of three positions on the two brackets attached on the doors early. They are very heavy, a strong grip or two people is needed. Now you can put the towel holders/rods on the doors, easy here two simple screw the backer onto the rod arms thru the door. I had only one problem fitting the doors as one roller was on the very top hole on one bracket and the bottom of the other and the bracket rubbed on the top rail. I fixed this with a small washer 1/16 in thick, as a spacer and all was well.

              Fantastic Looking
We replaced our original shower doors that were old, tired and dated our bathroom. The Delta Crestfield Shower doors arrived in (3) packages. The doors are very heavy so we used a dolly to move around. Included was (2) tempered glass doors, complete nickel track assembly kit, nickel door handles, hardware, and precise clear instructions. It took about 4 hours but the hardest part was removing our old shower doors. The track had been glued in place with contractors glue. The doors are beautiful and the exact quality as buying from a glass shop. The doors have pre-drilled holes for the handles. The top track is reversible offering (2) unique designs. We chose the decorative design. This product is Highly Recommended.

              Beautiful Doors!
This tub door is an easy way to modernize an older bathroom without spending a fortune. I was able to install this by myself in about 3 hours. It fits our tub perfectly and makes the bathroom look so much newer! I did not run into any problems during the install, and the instructions were easy to follow. It is a bit heavy to move alone, but easier once you unbox it and separate the doors. We especially like the coated easy to clean glass!

              Perfect Tub Closure system!
I had found that frameless doors with bronze finish hardware were not that easy to find, but I should have known that Delta would have the right set for us. Having done the job twice before in other homes, it was not a difficult install at all, and the new top track configuration makes it very easy to insert and remove the doors. I was also pleased that shimming the top track for the right glide was a simple matter of adding a plexiglass shim to the bearing surface of the low pilaster, by sli8pping it inside the track while I raised it on my padded head. Turns out the tub was not perfectly level across the length. Unexpected, but now everything works fine as there is up to 3/8" wiggle room for out of plumb conditions. I also lowered the doors on the rollers and that worked easily.

              Very happy with my purchase
After reviewing dozen of tub doors including some very modern and expensive (price was not a major issue in my decision making) I decided this was the one which fit my requirements: 1) Bypass configuration for ease of access and cleaning 2) Appearance 3) Ease of installation ( I did not want to drill in my new tiles) 4) Out of plumb adjustment (at the end I actually did not need it) I am very satisfied as the door fits very well with the overall design. The door quality/price ratio is very good when compared to other doors in the market

Very nice looking and easily installed
I bought this bypass sliding shower door for a new home I'm building. While the unit I purchased was supposed to fit between the shower walls the top rail extended above the enclosure. As you can tell by the pictures I came up with an interesting solution and although it was a little extra work the end result turned out nice I think. The oil rubbed bronze finish really looks nice and the etching on the glass doors tends to add to the antique feel. THE most important outcome of this little project is that my wife loves it too, can't go wrong with that.

Great visual impact on bathroom remodel.
I received the doors about a week after ordering. The packaging was good. I installed the doors myself (just an average DIY'er). It took about 4 hours total. Half of that time was spent drilling through tile. I am very happy with how the install turned out. My advice would be to make sure you measure twice and make certain everything is square before starting to drill the holes. These shower doors roll with ease and have a heavy/sturdy feel.
