There are other reviewers that have the same problems with this faucet that I am experiencing. I gave this one star and that's being generous. 1. You cannot easily turn off the water fully. If the faucet isn't left in just the right spot, it will drip. I know it will get worse because of how the faucet handle feels already. 2. It is difficult to get warm water. You either get too hot or too cold. It is incredibly frustrating and difficult and time consuming to regulate the temperature. 3. The diverter which changes stream to spray drips all the time when you change back to stream from spray. Consequently, when I am filling something it drips onto my hand or the outside of a container I am filling. I have to toggle it back and forth a couple of times before I can get it to stop dripping and to work correctly. This is happening after just six months. For the price of this faucet this is absolutely unacceptable. I thought Delta made a good faucet but clearly Delta put out a faucet product that is unacceptable. Do NOT buy this faucet. You will be frustrated within a year using this.

    nice faucet if you don't use it heavily
    Small design flaw in that it allows water to enter under the valve assembly cap and over time it makes the bonnet almost impossible to remove. A rubber seal would help keep the water out. Also the attachment hole of the handle to the valve assembly deteriorated and the wobble of the metal handle removed the finish on the cap that is not metal.

      989-DST Never Liked it , function difficult
      Have had the 989-DST almost 10 years now , it does function but has many flaws , It takes three or four tries to get it to turn off completely , the handle must be jerked on and in the exact correct position , adjusting water temp correct when not on full blast is almost impossible ? it's either Boiling or Ice cold . I feel it now needs a replacement cartridge and do not even see one here on the parts list ?

        Goose next attachment loose
        I bought this faucet few months back. The faucet works pretty flawlessly but the goose neck is loose.. the piece that it clicks onto is only plastic and I think the plastic piece may be the problem. Not sure but I went to take goose neck off to see if there is something I can maybe tighten down I barely had to push the plastic catch piece in and goose neck pretty much freely pulled off. Hard to explain. But in any event the goose neck jiggles. Also the pull down head doesn’t retract easily. Have to manually feed it back through every time. Maybe that is the way it’s suppose to be ??

          Pull down spout wont stay up.
          Performed well for 10 years but now the pull down spout wont stay in place. New magnets are available in the USA but not in Canada. How can I get them?

            Drips after 1 1/2 year
            Nice finish and build but cartridge is not good ! I have a 3 other Delta product and having a same issue ! Sad that you purchase a new home ,and after one year start having those problems !!!

              Good replacement for existing tap.
              Product is great. Price was right. Delivery to store was quick. Store lost my item and required two trips for pick-up, plus an hour wasted in my car waiting (peak of precautions). But they made it up to me afterwards so all good.

              Easy Install
              We bought this particular faucet because we had he same model for about 10 years in our previous house. Never had any problem all that time. Today, I just replaced our kitchen faucet with this one. Took a while to removed the old faucet due to rust. It took 30 minutes to install this faucet. The EZ install feature was great. No leaks and hope it will remain that way. Will update this review in a few months.

                Nice looking; functional; seems durable. This faucet replaced a brand that failed within a couple of years. Failure of that faucet caused severe leaking and damage. Two plumbers highly recommended replacing failed kitchen faucet brand with Delta. Glad we did!

                  I bought this to replace another model purchased a few...
                  I bought this to replace another model purchased a few years ago, and thought it would be the exact same. This model seemed lower quality. More lightweight feel and metal finish seemed more ’shiny’. I would have preferred to pay more for a higher quality version like my old one.

                  Replace the same faucet
                  Replace the old faucet(14yrs old) because we have hard water. The old one rusted out were the washer and springs are. The new facuet work a lot better since we had it put in!!!!!

                    what you pay is what you get - not correct here. Paying this amount of money to get a faucet which goes from warm to hot, it takes good adjustment to get to right temperature. We put this in custom home we have, in 3 years it started leaking.

                      Beautiful faucet.
                      This is really a beautiful faucet with a great design. We have had it for 6 years. The finish is still perfect and we have really enjoyed it. But like several others reviews I have read here, over the past year it has become extremely finicky about position or it drips, drips, drips. It's very annoying. Another issue I am having with it is black flecks coming out with the water. Maybe I don't know how to clean it properly? I have cleaned the outside and also let it soak in a bowl of bleach water and the black flecks still come out. We have to be sure and check when using the tap water for food to make sure we aren't eating it.

                        Good product. Durability concerns
                        Faucet works really well and I like the design. My only concern is that over the two years that i've owned it I have seen rust where the head of the unit connects to the magnet. Not sure what is going on but I never would have expected that to happen at all.

                          Leaky faucet/Faulty Sprayer
                          I am among those that have written prior. Leaky, on/off valve has a mind of its own, has to be just in the right spot to stop the annoying drip, drip, drip. Sprayer not working properly on the spray function, partially full, partially spray when using the sprayer. Disappointing for an expense faucet

                            Really nice faucet, but it no longer turns off unless handle's in a very specific spot
                            We really like the faucet's features and looks, but have same problem as Noblepower. In last couple of months, the handle has become very sensitive to "off" position and, otherwise, will drip. Advice appreciated. Thanks.

                                  Great Faucet, especially installation ease, but now getting black particles out of the sprayer assembly
                                  Purchased this faucet in 2012 and for the most part it has been fantastic. EZ-Anchor Installation in particular is great. However for the last few months we have been getting black particles from the faucet. I removed the sprayer assembly and when trying to clean it out I find a lot of black pieces of - something; I'm not sure what it is. Looks like it could be part of a filter? Anyway I've cleaned it out as well as I can a number of times and it keeps coming back, though less of that material each time. Maybe a replacement sprayer assembly? Also, I notice that the handle seems to be getting loose. Can't be just wearing out, can it? I sure hope not. Other than the issues mentioned above, this is by far the best faucet I've owned - and I've been around a long time and installed a lot of faucets! In spite of the problems I highly recommend this faucet! (Beats the heck out of Kohler faucets easily.)

                                    Same frustrations with Allora kitchen faucet -- drips, drips, drips
                                    This has been a very frustrating, yet expensive, faucet experience. We have had the faucet repaired once by local plumber because of low water pressure and dripping. Now, it is doing it again. I tried fixing it myself by replacing the seats and springs and now I get NO water at all. Again, very frustrating -- I took it apart and put if back to together 5 times. My wife is washing dishes in a dishpan in the bathroom. Grrrr...

                                      After Owning the Faucet for a Year, the Faucet Drips
                                      I love the looks and the function of my Allora faucet. However it is very aggravating that you have to place the handle in a very specific location to stop the drip when you turn the water off. I see from the reviews that this is a very common problem. In some of the reviews the technician has responded with an email offer to follow up on a solution to the problem. I would like to solve the problem. I am going to first try the tightening of the handle set screw. What worked for the others that have this persistent drip.

                                        The one I got does NOT have EZ Anchor mounting assembly
                                        Overall I'm pleased with the faucet but I ordered it in part because it is listed as one of a few faucets that uses the Delta EZ Anchor mounting assembly. Mine did NOT. It wasn't especially difficult to install given that I needed a tool to remove my old Moen faucet and that tool helped me install the Delta.

                                            For the amount of money paid, disappointing performance
                                            I have had this faucet for about five years now. I have had to replace the end nozzle four times, I guess because the black button on it that switches betw spray and stream wears out? And now, the flow coming out of the faucet is way down. It is above a trickle but not much more. Plus when I am done with it and return the extended nozzle back to the base, it continues to leak for about another minute.

                                              A Great Kitchen Sink Faucet
                                              The Allora kitchen sink faucet is well designed, durable, very high quality and durable. Delta re-engineered so it can be installed only by working from the top of the sink, which is a tremendous improvement. The only under-the-sink-work needed is to connect the water lines. But Delta even improved the water tie-in by designing long flexible plastic lines that mate with the 3/8" female fittings at the shut-off valves. The latest design faucet is much superior to the first model designed seven years ago. The MagnaTite docking now encloses the magnet in extruded plastic so it'll never rust and will last forever. The extendable hose is very flexible and easily retracts the spray wand back into the goose neck. And the flexible hose never leaks water at the base of the swivel goose neck, which is the source of the hard to clean mineral deposits that accumulate on many other faucets. The spray wand flicks between the spray and jet patterns with one hand operation. I love it. Way to go Delta!

                                              The faucet is brushed stainless steel and looks beautiful in our custom-built home. Sadly, the finish on the kitchen faucet nozzle is peeling off after only seven years. The soap dispenser has never worked, but I've just accepted the inconvenience.

                                                A tip for folks who've had this faucet for more than a year
                                                Some reviewers have commented that after a year or so, the Allora handle has to be positioned just right to shut the water off completely. Do this test. If you can jiggle the handle slightly and it seems to wobble, it's likely that the setscrew that secures the handle to the cartridge stem is working loose. It just needs to be tightened. See the parts diagram PDF file at http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/989-ar-dst.html?document=mi&fromDetailArea=kitchen&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper There's no need to turn off the water valves supplying your faucet to fix this. First, plug any sink drains so you don't lose any small parts. Then, on the lever handle, use a sharp knife point to pry off the small red/blue "hot/cold button." Using the 1/8" Allen head wrench (included with the original faucet or go buy one at the hardware store), simply tighten the set screw. Check that the handle is snug as you operate it. Snap the button back on and you're done!
