Not high-end, but works well
I picked this trim kit up for a bathroom remodel (as cheaply as possible while still getting durable quality). The material for the handle is plastic, not metal. Oh well. The handle turns easily. It isn't like I need solid metal to handle torque or anything. The instructions were clear, the installation was very straightforward, and I had no issues with leaking. For under $100, I think this is an excellent trim kit. However... A life lesson for me "on the cheap". Be sure that your water heater will output enough water to work properly with this trim kit/cartridge. My water heater is a small 60amp electric on-demand heater that doesn't put out a full 1.5GPM of hot water. I had to close the stop on the valve I got for this trim kit down quite a lot to lower the flow rate of the hot water, otherwise the water didn't heat up enough with my water heater. Basically, my water heater only puts out about 1GPM of genuine hot water. If I turn the shower on full hot and dial it back just a bit to add some cold water, I get around maybe 1.25GPM of water-- just BARELY enough flow/pressure to engage the shower. Surprisingly, even with the inadequate water heater, the low pressure shower I get actually feels satisfying with this shower head because of whatever technology they use to enhance the way the water flows from the shower head. I'm betting that if I had an adequate water heater, this trim kit would be a real beast. So my personal life lesson doesn't detract from my review of this trim kit at all. In fact, I'd say it deserves credit for working well even in an inadequate environment.
