Never worked correctly until I bought a different shower head
If you live in an older house, don't expect to install this without a fight. I've spent the better part of a year and a half either calling delta support, reading manuals, web searching and during that time NEVER got consistent hot water out of just the shower. Why? because the SHOWER HEAD IS TERRIBLE AND INCOMPATIBLE WITH THE REST OF THE SET. When it "works" it feels like you're being spat on, and you kind of have to dance around to get wet. It uses tiny angled nozzles, and creates pressure that can back all the way down to the cylinder. When that happens, all the hot water turns off as a safety feature.
I had never seen a shower head ruin everything, so I tried everything else. Replaced my cylinder cartridge, adjusted my WH temp, adjusted my scald guard (even dremel tooled out part of the safety stop), descaled my tankless WH. double checked the valve, etc, etc. Finally last month enough scale built up in the head that it shut off the hot water completely. So I did the whole weekend long song and dance trying to get something out of it. Delta support is friendly and polite, but they're working off a flowchart and can't respond to every specific case with accuracy.
Then, I bought a $20 shower head because I had replaced everything else and the bath was always fine. Bingo. Hot water for days, temp and volume working perfectly. After spending $100 on an extra cylinder, $150 on a plumber service call and countless hours with tech support. $20. Fixed.
This set isn't worth your time unless you're already planning on a new shower head.

elegant clean look
Yes I am pleased with the way the fixtures look but I would advise anyone to have a plumber handy because your average ordinary person isn't going to know all the settings that has to be done. After calling in multiple times, watching youtube videos & having 2 people play around with the faucet, it is finally installed & works good.

Hello PS22,
I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your Delta shower unit and I will be happy to help. Dripping on a new install is certainly not common. As for the finish damage, we advise you use a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water to clean up the hard water buildup. I will be sending you an email to discuss these issues further.

nice shower, nice look but...
I was tentative about the showerhead but we really like it. I'm kicking myself because I thought it was brushed nickel but it's shiny like chrome and though it looks nice, it shows water spots like chrome. Now I need to change out the tub overflow plate so it matches but can't find one with the same finish. So annoying...
