Worked great as expected. Fit perfectly as hoped. Have a Bee Window slider with a latch that is broken and it may lock on itself due to a broken spring band inside. Problem is that the door is over 20 years old and the mfr that made the lock is out of business. Bee Window has no other source and no way to take care of the problem because it is a deep set lock and everything else is not. Home Depot saved the day with the correct part on-line.

Big learning curve. I was replacing a mortise lock on a slider for my mother in law and found out there are several types of these mortise locks. I bought the one at the store and only realized when I tried installing it that I needed the DEEP version so that the locking mechanism (the circular shape on the side) would be centered properly. Unfortunately these mortise locks are not commonly found in the hardware stores.

sliding door lock went on fine, however it was difficult installing the lock mechanism. The keeper must have been out of tolerance as it wouldn't allow the lock mechanism to function, so I re-installed the old keeper and it works fine.

The current lock on my patio door broke. I've been using a wooden pole to keep the door "locked" . I had no idea what type of door lock this was. After poking around on Home Depot, I found the exact lock. Very easy to install. So happy!!!!

Returning to store does not fit the sliding door.

Replacement for broken item. Had to search and find it in Home Depot website because store staff was unwilling or unable to help. Not available in store. Product is exact replacement and works as designed.

Everything was great. I only wish that I could have found the product in the store instead of having to order it and pay shipping. That is why I shop at Home Depot. So that I can find what I need right there and then in the store. Not online.
