This item is a decorative cover for a dimmer switch, not an on-off switch. The description is not adequate.

Sorry you misunderstood the description of the decorative cover for a dimmer switch. We will try to make the description clearer so as there is no confusion and add more pictures showing that it is a cover for a switch.

Everything was going good until I put the cover on and something shorted out with the unit. Just got the replacement in today and hope to get it installed in the next couple of days. This was bought for my mom to help her out.

Nice product; looks good. Functionality takes some learning but once you get used to it it’s great. This piece should be incorporated into the main switch; no need to buy separately.

Purchased the Wrong Product
I was looking to purchase a 3-way wireless cover. What I bought was the dimmer cover. I don't understand why the 3-way wireless switch doesn't come with a cover in the first place. I purchased a similar product maybe 5 years ago and it came complete, a much superior product. But at the end of the day I bought the wrong one. I also explained in an earlier review that the two similar products could be advertised in a much clearer description. I hope this review helps.
